Walkthrough[edit]
When approaching the mission immediately, it will be difficult. The trifids are out of reach from most attacks, and they're aimed to create viruses within the pathway.
However, you have the option of attacking from three directions at once; from the left incubator, the right incubator, and from the trunk port. Send an engineer to take control of the trunk port by having it hover over the water.
If you do not have access to battle cannons, you will have to rely on grenades (for quick attacks) or airstrikes (for dealing with heavy groups.)
It is possible to remove the trifids, in spite of their positioning. It will take some time getting the exact route up the mountain, as squads cannot go directly up steep cliffs. When you are as close as you can get, you need to ensure that your grenade or airstrike lands in the correct position.
An alternative, easier method is to obtain armour technology first, then send armour units to the islands with Darwinians, fill them up, and take them to the objective island. This way, you can beat the level in minutes without firing a shot.
