Notes[edit]

Although you can see three entrances from your starting location, the bottom entrance is the only one which leads to the remainder of the stage. The branch between the path that you must take to collect the coin, and the path to collect the key is quite long, although the structure of the maze is not terribly complicated. (You may opt to collect the key first, and return for the coin on the opposite side, which will warp you back out of the level if you collect it second.) Do not get careless; remain aware of the presence of strong enemies throughout the stage.

The peach bonus item cannot be collected unless you come through a stairwell found in the fourth area. Likewise, you can only reach a section of the seventh area through an underground passage, but it leads to an empty and isolated area, so it is pointless to visit.
