Level 1 - School Grounds at Night[edit]

  • Boss: Flash Man
  • Element: Electricity
  • Hp: 300, 500(V2), 700(V3)
  • Attacks:
    • Homing Flash: Erratically moves to your row.
    • Flash Stun: Automatically stuns you (deflectable with a Barrier)
    • Flash Hand: T-shaped attack that does major damage (V2 and above)
  • Found
    • V1: School Comp 2
    • V2: Acdc 3
    • V3: Acdc 2

Recommended Strategies[edit]

Flash Man possibly is the easiest opening boss in the whole battle network series, since he potentially can be defeated in one blow in white version and be damaged closed to deletion in blue version. in white version, if you buy the bamboo sword from ACDC Square and set an attack + 10 chip as the default chip, you can save in front of the area where you encounter Flashman, and keep on resetting until you get both the bamboo sword and attack + 10 chips in your first 5 chips. Since Bamboo Sword is Wood element and does 140 damage, and Flashman is electric type, if attack + 10 is added to the bamboo sword to increase it to 150, and since electric types take double damage from wood attacks, Flashman can be defeated in one shot. In blue version, Custom sword is available instead of bamboo sword to buy at the Square. if you unleash custom sword just before the custom gauge fills up, you can hit Flashman with at least 250 damage. Note that Bamboo sword has the same range as a Widesword, and Custom Sword has the same range as the Lifesword Program advance.

Level 2 - Attack at the Zoo[edit]

  • Boss: Beast Man
  • Element: None
  • Hp: 500, 800(V2), 1100(V3)
  • Attacks
    • Cross Slash: Comes across Diagonally from his present position.
    • Sneak Attack: Disappears, then strikes from a row in front or behind (V2)
    • Split Attack: Disappears, does cross slash with both arms coming from opposite directions, then rams you with his head, which you can attack.
      • If he's V2 or above, he will do it multiple times.
  • Found
    • V1: Zoo Comp 4
    • V2: Sci Lab 1
    • V3: Doghouse (Sneak Run required)

Recommended Strategies[edit]

Keep moving between the rows and columns to avoid his Sneak Attack. When he starts using Split Attack, move up and down correspondingly.

Level 3 - Bubblewash Havoc[edit]

  • Boss: Bubbleman
  • Element: Water
  • Attacks:
    • Bubbles: Bubbles come out of the center hole. (can be popped with buster)
    • Fish Bomb: Throws a Ratton-like bomb
    • Harpoon Frenzy: Adjusts to your position and fires harpoons until he dies
  • Found:
    • Yoka 1
    • Yoka 1
    • Beach 2 (need hp 25% or lower)

Recommended Strategies[edit]

If you have one, use a lance when the row in front of him is open to restrict his movement.

Level 4 - N1 Grand Prix[edit]

  • Boss: Desertman
  • Element: None
  • Attacks:
    • Sand Whirlpool: Whirlpools of sand randomly appear in pairs on your side of the field.
    • Sand Lion Charge: Desertman's hands change into lions and charge across one row each.
    • Sand Block: A hand turns into a block and drops where you are standing.
    • Sand Pillar: Desertman is constantly surrounded by two sand pillars that block most attacks towards him.

Reccommended Strategies[edit]

Don't stay in one place for too long, especially towards the end of the battle when the hands start dropping as blocks. Shockwave-type chips work well since they can pass through the sand pillars and hurt Desertman directly. Also pack a few Boomerangs and Lances, which can attack the back row where Desertman tends to be.

Found
  • V1 - Second floor TV station
  • V2 - Beach 1
  • V3 - Yoka Inn TV

Level 5 - Tree of Death[edit]

  • Boss: Plantman
  • Element: Grass

Level 6 - The Traitor[edit]

  • Boss: Flamman
  • Element: Fire
  • Attacks:
    • Candles: Two candles in the back corners emit various effects according to their flame colors. Red means Flamman recovers life, green means he is invincible, and yellow causes two flames to spin around the outer eight squares of your side.
    • Fire Line: A line of flaming towers is shot up from the ground in front of Flamman. As the battle progresses, the flames widen out by one square on each side as it moves forward.
    • Floating Fire: Two flames appear on your side and move around the edge squares at a steady rate.

Reccommended Strategies[edit]

Water chips are scarce, so put your faith in an Aqua style change. The candles have low health so the MegaBuster can take care of them easily, but they relight frequently. Lance and Boomerang chips can take them out simultaneously, and an AreaGrab + LifeSword PA combo can do damage to everything on the field.
