Once the background has reappeared behind Mirai Ninja, the stage's title has appeared on the screen and the stage's theme starts to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, start running to the right and jump onto a enormous gear (known as a "Haguruma", which is written in Kanji as 歯車) that's rotating in a clockwise direction in order to be carried up to a conveyor belt on the next platform; once you've jumped onto the conveyor belt, four Kumo Robots will come scuttling towards you while firing lasers at you. Once you have thrown a shuriken at each of them to kill them, you will have to jump onto a second enormous gear that is rotating in a clockwise direction in order to be carried up to a second conveyor belt on the next platform - and once you've jumped onto this second conveyor belt, you'll have the opportunity to drop down onto sixteen more levels of two conveyor belts in turn and collect an Inori (gray) powerup on the right side once you've reached the bottom, in order to shrink a Zaku swinging his mace around at you upon the left side. Once you have thrown enough shurikens at the Zaku to kill him, you will have to jump back up to each of the sixteen aforementioned levels of two conveyor belts in turn in order to continue with the stage, then jump up to three more levels of one conveyor belt in turn in order to jump up to a small gear that is rotating in an anticlockwise direction and jump onto the next platform, before jumping onto three more small gears that are rotating in an anticlockwise direction in turn so you can jump up to a third enormous gear that is rotating in a clockwise direction in order to be carried up to a third conveyor belt on the next platform - and there is a Tourou hovering in place above this third conveyor belt (which will fire a beam down at you if you try to pass under it), so you will have to jump up and slash it with your sword at close range to kill it before you jump onto that conveyor belt. Five Hanzou Hattori will then come running towards you; once you've thrown a shuriken at each of these to kill them, you will have the opportunity to run under three more levels of one conveyor belt above you and collect a Chikara (yellow) powerup if you need the extra energy. You'll now have to run back to the left and jump up to the three aforementioned levels of one conveyor belt in turn, in order to jump up to a fourth conveyor belt on the next platform - and once you've jumped up to this fourth conveyor belt, you will come to a gap between it and a fifth conveyor belt on the next platform. If you choose to drop down the gap you'll fall down onto eight more levels of two conveyor belts, four more levels of a single conveyor belt, four more small gears that are rotating in an anticlockwise direction, and a fourth enormous gear that is rotating in a clockwise direction in turn; once you have reached the bottom you will have to run back to the left as five more Kumo Robots come scuttling towards you while firing lasers at you. Once you have thrown a shuriken at each of these to kill them, you will have to run back to the right and jump back onto the enormous gear rotating clockwise, the four small gears rotating anticlockwise, the four levels of one conveyor belt, and the eight levels of two conveyor belts in turn - and once you have jumped onto the aforementioned fifth conveyor belt on the next platform, you will have the opportunity to jump up and collect a Waza (green) powerup above you in order to throw three shurikens at once for a short period of time just before you drop off the edge of the platform. The screen will then fade out and the hologrammatical image of the Evil Master Shikinami Kurosagi will appear as its associated sound effect is heard from the C140 (which means that it is time for a boss battle yet again); once that background has faded back in, the "boss" theme will start to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 once again as Mirai Ninja finds himself in the room of Katame, which attacks by shooting fireballs across the room and spawning Mukademaru, the latter of which also attack by spitting Kanji characters from their mouths (and can be killed for 1500 and 5000 extra points apiece). The room itself will also occasionally rotate 90 degrees clockwise and change its gravitational force for Mirai Ninja, which can often result in him landing upon a fireball or Mukademaru - but once you have thrown enough shurikens at Katame to defeat it, it will explode (although any Mukademaru and spat Kanji characters on screen will remain) as that "stage clear" theme is heard from the Yamaha YM-2151, and Mirai Ninja will be transported onto the fifth stage once that background has faded back out again (which, like the first and third ones, is very straightforward).
