Once Gibson and Broady's red Nissan 300ZX has reappeared on the screen, you will have to step on the gas pedal to accelerate it, then turn to the right and shift into high gear once it has reached 200 km/h; you'll then have to turn to the left while on the right side of the track (so you are not driving against opposing traffic), turn to the right, and turn to the left to crash through a crate (sending it flying) - and once you've done this, that helicopter that appeared in the four previous stages shall fly down into view from the top of the screen and airdrop a fifth and final rocket launcher onto the Nissan 300ZX. Once it has landed on it, its ammunition of five shots (that shall damage the target truck by 10% when fired) will appear at the bottom of the screen; you will then have to turn to the right to crash through two more crates (again, sending them flying), and turn to the left to crash through four more crates (once again, sending them flying) as you come to the target truck (which, like the target cars for the four previous stages, is indicated by an arrow in its colour and the text "CRIMINAL" above it, and you will also receive a bonus of 10000 points for each second you have remaining as your time is extended by 55, 60, 65 or 70 seconds, the target truck's damage meter which can initially only get filled just over halfway before it is reset appears on the left side of the screen, and the blue light reappears on top of the Nissan 300ZX as its siren starts to get heard from the Yamaha YM-2610 for a fifth and final time in the game). Once the target truck's damage meter is at 20%, its right back door will be destroyed and its now-exposed passenger will start throwing oil drums out of it onto the track - and once it is at 60%, it will be reset to 0%, as the enemy helicopter that appeared on the second stage (which now also has an arrow in its colour and the text "CRIMINAL" over it) flies up into view behind the back of the truck and drops a pair of bombs on it causing it to crash. You now have to shoot (and ram when it flies low) the enemy helicopter enough times to completely fill its damage meter as it drops more bombs on the track (a shot on it is now worth 500 points, and a ram worth 10000); once you have done so, it will burst into flames and land. The screen will then cut to a shot of Gibson and Broady arresting the enemy helicopter's pilot (Tony Raymond) and passenger, as the text of "STAGE 5 COMPLETED" appears above it and you receive 10000 bonus points for every second you have remaining - and the game will now proceed to the sixth stage, which follows a different format to the previous five (as regardless of how the cabinet is set, you will only have 30 seconds to clear it in, and just a single Turbo Activator boost). Also, if you fail to finish the stage in time, you can't attempt it again, even if the arcade operator has set the "Allow Continue" dip switch setting to "On".
