Controls[edit]

  • Steering Wheel: Use the steering wheel to steer the car left and right just as you would with any real car; in MAME, this is replicated by the left and right arrow keys by default. It is also possible to adjust the virtual steering wheel's speed and sensitivity, by selection of the "Analog Controls" menu.
  • Gas Pedal: Step on the gas pedal to accelerate the car; in MAME, this is the left Ctrl key by default (but, you may wish to change it to the up arrow).

Characters[edit]

Player Car (プレイヤーカー)[edit]

This red car is the protagonist of the game; you must drive it from the starting point of each of the four stages to the ending point before the time runs out. You get 10 points for every metre it travels - and it can survive a side-bump from a CPU-controlled car, Emergency Car or hovercyclist.

CPU Cars (シーピーユーカーズ)[edit]

SSRJ CPU Car Blue.gif SSRJ CPU Car Yellow.gif There are two different types of CPU-controlled cars in this game: blue and yellow (the latter of which is a Volkswagen Buggy); you will gain 5000 points for every blue one you pass, and 3000 points for every yellow one. Driving into the back of either type shall cause your own car to explode.

Emergency Cars (救急カーズ)[edit]

Once on the second, third, and fourth stages, one of these yellow ambulances will drive up into view from the bottom of the screen; if your car is in their path, they will drive into the back of it and cause it to explode. The two Kanji characters in their Japanese name also read out as kyūkyū.

Hovercyclists (ホバーサイクリストス)[edit]

Looking somewhat like a distant precursor to the Biker Zaku from Namco's Steel Gunner, you shall gain 4000 points for every one of these flying-scooter-riders you pass in the game; however, like both types of CPU-controlled cars driving into the back of one shall cause your car to explode.
