Sort the table by "Use" and the items will be grouped by Necessary, Optional and Unused.

Another provisioner in the north sells the same items, except for the cartograph and the six books.

It allows to avoid the sharks after you got the key (that is anyway unused) on the islet. It allows to reach the cliffside cave, and then the clifftop (there is another way, anyway).
