Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Monkepinay! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums.

Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. When making an edit, proofread your changes at least once by using the preview button below the editing box. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- --Melon247 Hammy, my hamster. Cute! Consolidate your edits[edit]

Hi, thank you for your contributions. Please use full page editing and the preview button to help reduce the amount of edits to the pages you're working on. You can edit the entire page by clicking on the "Edit" tab at the top of the page. Take your time to work out all of the changes you are going to make before submitting them. Making multiple minor edits makes it harder to use a page's history, and an administrator has to patrol every one of the changes you make. If you are editing a page more than three or four consecutive times within 10 minutes, you need to slow down. If you're worried about losing your work, copy the contents of the page into a text editor where you can even save it to your computer if you like. Thanks, — najzereT 20:07, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

This is your second warning to not spam recent changes. All the edits you are making in the Sandbox can just as easily be seen by using the "Show preview" button located just to the right of the "Save page" button. Please use this to preview your work instead of making a series of small, rapid-fire edits that must all be individually patrolled by an administrator. Thank you, — najzereT 20:20, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
This is your third an final warning to consolidate your edits. The above-mentioned preview function is built into the MediaWiki software exactly so you can do what you're doing – seeing how your changes will look. Furthermore, the Sandbox isn't the proper place to build a guide page. Making pages in the Sandbox and moving them to guide pages is a waste of time and resources, and makes tracking a page's history much harder. You need to move your edits to the proper place and stop making multiple tiny edits. The Sandbox is for testing wiki markup, not standard editing. Any further occurrences will result in temporary ban. — najzereT 01:49, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
Banned for 3 days. Listen to warnings next time. --Arrow Windwhistler (talk) 03:20, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Image categorisation[edit]

When uploading images, please make sure to categorise them using the correct image categories and the guide-specific category, i.e. [[Category:Pokémon Gold and Silver images]]. The image policy is viewable here, and contains all the information you'll need to categorise future uploads. --najzereT 05:32, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Question[edit]

So I have a few of the ripped images for these caves but I'm not 100% on how to categorize and name them. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. There are four images total with three levels, if this information helps any. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Monkepinay (talkcontribs) .

If the images are maps, you would put Category:Maps and Category:Pokémon Gold and Silver images in the summary when uploading. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 05:11, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
