Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Xaith! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Image names[edit]

Every single image that you just recently uploaded to the site needs to be renamed. Please do the sysops a huge favor, and don't leave it to them to fix your mistakes. Please reupload every single image with the name "Aquarius_whatever.gif" or ".jpg" and please edit your existing images by adding {{delete}} to the descriptions. If you wait for a sysop to do this for you, it's going to look a lot less favorable for you. Thank you. Procyon (Talk) 10:31, 13 December 2007 (CST)

I deleted all the old images I could find. Which ones haven't been deleted (list their filenames please)? --DrBob (talk) 13:19, 13 December 2007 (CST)

General comments[edit]

I appreciate you're enthusiastic to get on with your guide, but have you taken a moment to read our guide? Making sure you do things properly saves both you and us sysops time spent cleaning things up in future, and means we all have more time to write game guides. Specifically, I'd appreciate it if you stopped using <br>, as it's a horrible HTML tag. In most of the places you're using it, it can just be removed, and the sentences left together in the same paragraph. To create a new paragraph, press enter twice, but remember that paragraphs should be used sparingly, just as they should if you were writing an essay. Could you also make sure to put the right headers and footers on a page, by using the "New guide page" template when creating a new page? All guide pages need these to aid navigation. ;-) Finally, could you please stop putting pages for Aquaria in the "Aquaria" category. It doesn't exist, it shouldn't exist, and it won't exist unless there are other Aquaria games. On StrategyWiki, we organise guide pages through subpaging, rather than categorisation. Thanks, and keep editing! --DrBob (talk) 11:44, 13 December 2007 (CST)

Sorry, I got confused about who's writing the Aquaria guide. My point is that you should not add categories to sub-pages, as we use the fact that they're sub-pages of the guide's main page to define the navigation. Basically: don't add categories to sub-pages. ;-) --DrBob (talk) 11:59, 13 December 2007 (CST)
You can mark pages that need (or you think need) deletion by putting {{delete}} on the page. You can also add a reason why by putting it in like this: {{delete|Reason}}. Only sysops can delete pages. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 22:17, 13 December 2007 (CST)
