Room 1[edit]

Welcome to the game. The vial on the left side of this room may be picked up for 250 points, while the bomb in the centre of it may be picked up for 500.

Room 2[edit]

The knife in the centre of this room may be picked up for 500 points (and to cut tentacles), while the keycard on its right side may be picked up for 1000.

Room 3[edit]

The tools and cash in the centre of and on the right side of this room (the former partly hidden by the pillar) may both be picked up for 500 points apiece.

Room 4[edit]

The code and three bombs on the left side of and in the centre of this room (which are both partly hidden by the pillars) may both be picked up, for 1000 points apiece, while the jetpac (the game actually spells it this way) may be picked up for 250; you will also need the first to order the base's destruction. In any room containing three bombs, it is also possible to pick them up, move into either adjoining room, and toss a bomb towards the room you just left before its door closes behind you, to cause three more bombs to appear in that room - and this process may be repeated indefinitely, but your inventory maximum limit of 99 bombs cannot be exceeded. It is also only advisable to do this in a multiplayer game, as while you are doing it, another player may go to the room with the self-destruct timer and press the button on its right side to temporarily freeze it, then press it again once the timer has unfrozen.

Room 5[edit]

The glass panel on the left side of the self-destruct timer in this room can be smashed to reveal a keypad; if you picked up the code in the previous room you can enter it into the keypad and instantly cause the timer to go to 0:10 (you will be beamed out of there once it reaches 0:05, so you will not perish in the explosion). You can also pick up the beaker in the centre of the room (for a health bonus of 50), press the button on the right side of the self-destruct timer to temporarily freeze it, and pick up the pistol on the right side of the room, to replace your phazer (which were the weapon of choice for Star Trek).

Room 6[edit]

The button on the left side of the "XX% ALIEN INFESTED" display (which shows the percentage of Xenos remaining on the starbase) can be pressed to temporarily make it change to the self-destruct timer; the fire extinguisher in the centre of this room can also be picked up for 250 points, while the bomb on its right side can again be picked up for 500. The "ALIEN ALERT" display will also stop, if you kill all the Xenos before the self-destruct timer runs out.

Room 7[edit]

The fuel can in the centre of this room (along with the skull of the dead crewman skeleton on its right side) may both be picked up for 250 points apiece.

Room 8[edit]

You can insert your phazer or pistol into the oil drum in the centre of this room, but it is not recommended as it will just swallow it up; the disc on its right side may also be picked up, for 1000 points. If you fail to destroy the base before the self-destruct timer runs out, the Xenos shall overrun it and you will not receive any bonus (except for that 1000-point one for every item you recovered from the base) - however, if you ordered the destruction of the base, you shall receive 100 points for every Xeno you killed (up to a maximum of 7400). Also, if you managed to kill all seventy-five Xenos on the base before the self-destruct timer ran out you shall receive a health bonus of 200, along with 300 points for every Xeno you had killed (up to a maximum of 22500); it is also worth noting that when you revisit this starbase after clearing the eighth one (in any way), it will have changed significantly both outside and in.
