Must have done: obtains the Blue Crystal from Seattle, the Lighter from the [[Airplane and the Book from the Devotee from the SF airport.
You can visit the Police Station to the left but there is nothing to do there. You can try to read the bulletin board but it is in Nepalese. If you bring Annie there she will be able to read it: there is a hint that the flagpole is metallic instead of wooden; there is also a reference to the evil purple meteor of Maniac Mansion.
If you attempt to PICK UP FLAGPOLE you will be arrested.
Go to the right and GIVE BOOK TO GUARD and he will understand you are a "follower" of the Guru Swami Hollawanda who wrote it. Enter the temple and READ at the documents on the bulletin board and you will see a reference to the Shaman Nomon Slicinmon in Zaire. Go to the right and meet the Guru. He will check if you have "bad karma" (if you have killed Sushi and/or the Two-Headed Squirrel in Seattle); if yes, just stay there for 10 minutes to get "cleansed" until he talks to you again. Then he will teach you how to use the Blue Crystal and enter the mind of animals.
You can go outside and try to USE BLUE CRYSTAL ON YAK. You can 'control' the Yak with the commands CHEW and then POOP. You will have limited time until the alien comes to arrest you. So leave the screen ASAP or wake up and PUT ON the NOSE GLASSES and HAT to fool him. If you visit the Guru again, he will tell you that you have been trained.
Leave and go to the right. USE LIGHTER ON HAY and the Guard will call the Police Officer for help. While he is busy go to the left and PICK UP FLAGPOLE.
When you are done, USE CASHCARD IN YAK ($99) and leave.
Getting arrested[edit]
You will be arrested if you attempt to get the Flagpole while the officer is in the Police Station. If you haven't met Annie yet, he will get you in jail and eventually will get you out.
However if you have met Annie, she will have to free Zak. Get her to the jail and as Zak GIVE LIGHTER TO ANNIE. Go to the hay and USE LIGHTER ON HAY. While the Officer is busy, PICK UP JAIL KEY, USE JAIL KEY IN JAIL and leave.
Annie otherwise can't do much there, other than read the Nepalese signs. If she visits the Guru, he will tell her that she is already "on the right path".
