Skill Magazines may be found scattered throughout the wasteland. Unlike Skill Books, these magazines provide a large but temporary boost to a single skill.
Barter[edit]
Copies of Salesman Weekly boost the barter skill, and may be found:
- In the Goodsprings school, at the north east corner. Located next to a shelf.
- In the Vicki and Vance casino, in the back room.
Explosives[edit]
- In one of the southeast buildings in Horowitz Farmstead
Guns[edit]
Copies of the Milsurp Review are found:
- In Primm, on an open ruined building next to the Mojave Express
Lockpick[edit]
- From Goodsprings, by talking to Sunny Smiles about work. This is given to you.
Melee Weapons[edit]
Copies of Tales of Chivalry improve melee weapon attacks.
- In Mick & Ralph's, on the table on the second floor. Must be stolen.
Medicine[edit]
Copies of Medicine Today are found:
- In the doctor's house in Goodsprings.
- In Mick & Ralph's, on the bed on the second floor. Must be stolen.
- In Aerotech Suite 300, in the lobby.
Repair[edit]
- In Goodsprings prospector's Saloon, on a table. Must be stolen.
- In the Vicki and Vance casino, in the back room.
- In Ranger Camp Bravo, inside a trailer. Must be stolen.
Science[edit]
Copies of Programmer's Digest may be found:
- In Goodsprings school, near the terminal.
- In the Broc Flower Cave
- In the Sunset Sarsaparilla Headquarters, on the table next to the couches in the main lobby.
Survival[edit]
Copies of Lad's Life may be found:
- Sometimes for sale in Novac.
- In Camp McCarran, in one of the tents in a box. Must be stolen.
Unarmed[edit]
- In the Goodsprings gas station, on one of the shelves.
Criticals[edit]
Magazines from True Police Stories increase critical chance by 5%. They may be found:
- In Boulder City Ruins, across from the Great Khan hideout.
