Kollin, the third planet in the system, is home to the Nanairo Planetary Patrol (NPP). Here you will find several places that will help you on your journey to defeat the Krawl. Once you arrive, there are at least three places you will not want to miss. The first is the recovery item shop to the west. From your landing point, head to the left until you hit the edge, then walk around and talk to the man inside the green ship. He will have several [[Spectrobes/Items|items]] you can buy (note that you will only be able to buy a few items the first time you visit). Stock up now using the cash you've probably been dying to spend.

:If you have a fully evolved Komadoros and Spikanor, this battle will be a lot easier. Assuming you have this combination, here's the boss strategy. The boss has two small sphereical Krawl around him. These are going to cause you the most trouble, but since the best strategy is to wait and charge, you're just going to have to get good at dodging them. They will periodically shoot off three purple orbs that, if you are standing your distance, will spread out enough to be easily dodgable. So stay at the very edge of the purple tornado for the entire battle.

So stay at the very edge of the purple tornado for the entire battle. The Leader Krawl should be incredibly easy to knock out if you are on the very edge of the tornado. This is because he will rush at you in a flaming attack, but he will stop in front of you if you are far enough out.

When it misses, hit {{ds|Y}} to go into Charge attack mode, and make Spikanor use his charge attack. It will send out six explosions in sets of two. These do about 75 damage each if your Spikanor is around level 35. Do this about 5 times, and victory will be yours.

Or, if you find the placement is hard, simply have your Spikanor use his special attack, which is easier to use and does around 75 damage. If you can't do those in a matter of time, use the Aobasar Apex and put him right in front of the Leader. Press X the Spectrobe will attack, and the Leader will lose around 100-135 HP each time. Either way, the Leader Krawl should fall within a few rounds.

You are now on the museum grounds. The first thing you want to do is talk to the man in the middle of the first area. He will tell you that he thought he saw something sparkling under the tree behind him, but he said he might just be tired. Investigate anyway, as it turns out his sight is just fine. He will have several items you can buy (note that you will only be able to buy a few items the first time you visit). Stock up now using the cash you've probably been dying to spend.

The second and less notable shop is to the south. From your ship, walk to the entrance to the headquarters, then head south until you hit the end, then head left and down a couple more sets of stairs. Head right and talk to the man standing inside the large orange ship. He will have a set of mining tools to help you with future mining expeditions.

If this is your second time on Kollin, you will have to go to headquarters and save Commander Grant. Go to the large building in the middle of the area you land on, and head in. Go to the commanders office like you did the first time you came for equipment (note: you will be fighting a leader Krawl at the end, so try not to get hurt in the battles inside the building. Actually, you might as well run from all of the battles unless you're REALLY desperate for experience.) Once you arrive, Rallen will run over to Commander Grant, who is about to be attacked by an enormous Krawl. Rallen comments on its size, then runs to fight it.

Boss Battle[edit]

Note: If you have a fully evolved Komadoros and Spikanor, this battle will be a lot easier. Assuming you have this combination, here's the boss strategy. Use an Aobasar Apex from the card input machine if you have one, because they work a whole lot easier.

The boss has two small spherical Krawl around him. These are going to cause you the most trouble, but since their are very difficult to knock out you're just going to have to get good at dodging them. They will periodically shoot off three purple orbs that, if you are standing your distance, will spread out enough to be easily dodgable. So stay at the very edge of the purple tornado for the entire battle. The Leader Krawl should be incredibly easy to knock out if you are on the very edge of the tornado. This is because he will rush at you in a flaming attack, but he will stop in front of you if you are far enough out.

The way to win this battle is to charge continually. As mentioned before, stay on the edge of the tornado and tell your Komadoros to charge (R button or L button + A button). He will stand and shake, giving you his energy. Continually hold down A button to charge.

As mentioned earlier, the Leader Krawl's attack will miss if you're far enough out. Try and arrange it so that when he stops, your Komadoros is in front of him. When he stops, have your Komadoros do his charge attack. It should do an incredible amount of damage.

The Aftermath[edit]

After you destroy the Leader Krawl, Jeena will contact you and ask what happened (as usual, she calls right on time after you defeat the boss). Some dialog follows, ending with Commander Grant telling you that he needs to have a strategy meeting with Jeena and Aldous, and proposing that you check out the museum while they talk.

To find the museum, first exit headquarters. Then head South-East until you're near your ship. Then head south and go through the glass tube walkway.

You are now on the museum grounds. The first thing you want to do is talk to the man in the middle of the first area. He will tell you that he thought he saw something sparkling under the tree behind him, but he said he might just be tired. Investigate anyway, as it turns out his sight is just fine. Have your Spectrobes search in front of the tree, and you will see a cube, a fossil, and two minerals (fossils are orange sparkles, minerals are blue sparkles, and cubes are rainbow sparkles). Go to the cube, dig it up, and viola! You have an Upsilon cube! (Note: you will want to get the fossil and minerals; the minerals are pretty decent.)

Now, the Upsilon cube is a very helpful cube. It enables the Card-Input system on the lab (refer to cubes)

Before you rush back to the headquarters, you have to talk to the Curator in the museum. So from the tree head to the main walkway and go right. Soon you will climb some stairs and you can go either right, straight ahead, or back the way you came. You want to head straight. Keep going until you hit the glass doors an the screen changes.

Head around the middle information panel and talk to the man standing next to the green stone behind the glass. Talk to him. He will babble on about how the keystone is the pride and joy of the museum. Though he may seem worthless now, he actually plays a very valuable part in the completion of the story.

After you talk to him Jeena will contact you and tell you that their meeting with Commander Grant is over and that you can see them now. So, for now leave the museum and run back over to headquarters.

Head back inside the headquarters building, and go back to the commander's office. When you arrive, a lot of dialog will follow, and by the time everyone leaves you have learned that Commander Grant wants you to seek out a Krawl nest, as a Leader Krawl is sent as a scout before the swarm comes. So you are assigned to go to Ziba and talk to Professor Kate to see if she has any knowledge of where the Krawl are.

You are now free to do what you want before you head to Ziba, so before you give the Upsilon Cube to Aldous, head over to the corner in the headquarters where you first got your equipment for Genshi. The man will have a few more levels of Gloves, Swords, Suits, and Blasters, so if you have the money you should buy as much as you can (the suit is going to help a lot, so make sure to purchase that if you can afford it). After you've done some shopping, go out of the headquarters and give your new cube to Aldous. He will analyze it for you and tells you it enables a new function: the Card-Input System! This appears to top left of the cube analyzer (Note: It is highly recommended to put in any card codes you know; some strong Spectrobes will help you a lot).

You're done with Kollin for now, so go to the ship's control panel and head for Ziba!
