Brighton and Twila, the forces who control Day and Night, have gotten into an argument over who is more popular. Mario decides to step in and end it by telling them to collect as many stars as they can. Now, a new party begins!

Mario Party 6 is the sixth game in the Mario Party series. It features a new way to play the game with the introduction of Daytime and Nighttime. Each lasts three turns and during the conversion, gameplay is changed on the game boards, including layout changes, outcomes of events, and day or night alterations. Also, it features Toadette as a character and has many new orbs to choose from.

A Nintendo Mic comes packaged with the game that can be used in gameplay.
