The Tiny Chao Garden can be linked up to the Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Chao are creatures that can be raised, fed and be taught skills. By pressing A over your Chao it will be stroked and if you press A over items they can be moved.

On the right hand bar the stats of your chao will be displayed. These are:

  • Mood
  • Belly
  • Swim
  • Fly
  • Run
  • Power
  • Stamina

When the coloured dots all turn blue then the chao will level up in that particular thing. The main bars though are the Mood and Belly bars as they are not skills. If you spend a lot of time with your chao it will be happier, also petting/stroking it makes it happier. You also have to feed your chao regularly to make sure it isn't hungry.

Also on this bar at the top it shows the name of you chao, this can be changed by pressing A on it. And at the bottom it shows how many coins you have.

By pressing the left trigger the store will come up. You can use all the coins you have to buy fruit to feed your chao as well as toys and occasionally eggs. By leveling up your chao new things will appear in the bottom two rows of the shop. Tp earn money though you have to play the two games, they appear on the top of the screen using the white GBA and blue GBA icons.

Rock/Paper/Scissors

By hitting the white GBA you come to the classic Rock/Paper/Scissors. Rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper and paper beats rock.

Matching Pairs

By hitting the blue GBA you come across the Matching Pairs game. You have to memorize where the cards are and then try to find a pair. But you can only make three mistakes before it's game over. Finding cards in the red section earns you x5 coins, in the purple section it's x3 coins and in the blue section it's x1 coins.
