Pokémon Ranger/Escort the Professor!

Your mission is to safely escort Prof. Hastings to Fall City. You are expected to overcome any challenges you encounter with intellect and courage.

Start of patrol

Spenser will congratulate you on your work during your first mission. He then asks that you and Solana/Lunick go patrol the town until you find a mission. Go out of the Ranger Base, and you will hear a Pokémon's cry. Minun/Plusle is being chased by Larry's Taillow! You enter a capture to calm the 2 Pokémon down.

You find out that Minun/Plusle started harassing Taillow as it was jealous of how much care Larry gave Taillow. Minun/Plusle goes to apologize to Taillow, and Larry comments on how it seems lonely. You and Minun/Plusle will form a connection, and Minun/Plusle's data will be registered in your Browser. You now have a partner Pokémon!

You are introduced to Minun/Plusle's Poké during Assist during Taillow's capture, which launches some electric rays in multiple directions, paralyzing anything they touch for a short amount of time.

"Patrolling"

Though you can talk to the NPCs around town if you'd like, there's no need to do any more patrolling, so you can head back to the Ranger Base.

Spenser notices that Minun/Plusle from before came with you, and immediately understands the situation. Solana/Ludwick then explains how your Minun/Plusle's ability works, since their partner's ability is much the same.

Partner Pokémon

As is explained during the tutorial, your partner Pokémon has a sort of "infinite" assist. Every time the bar under your Styler's health charges all the way up, you can use the Discharge assist that you saw earlier used on Taillow. The bar is filled by drawing loops around the Pokémon you're trying to capture, and the filled amount will transfer between battles, so you don't have to worry about it resetting.

It's also worthy to note that as your Ranger Rank goes up, you will add more bars to make your Partner Gauge which makes your partner's Poké Assist stronger as you charge it up.

Professor Hastings

After the tutorial, Solana/Lunick goes back to patrolling. Then, an old man walks into the base. This is Professor Hastings, and you can hear him and Spenser mentioning something about a Super Styler which is only between then and the other Ranger Leaders. While they're talking, Spenser asks that you go upstairs and check on his Fearow. Go upstairs and tap on Fearow. The Ranger taking care of it says it's resting, and can't carry the Professor home, so go back down to Spenser.

He says that he has a new mission for you. You must escort Professor Hastings back to Fall City without anything happening to him. This is your first official mission, to bring Professor Hastings through Lyra Forest and Krokka Tunnel to get to Fall City. When you are ready head to Lyra Forest.

As you enter the forest, the mission will begin, and you will immediately be attacked by a Bellsprout.

After you capture it, Professor Hastings will explain to you how Bellsprout's Poké Assist works. In short, when you draw a line while having the Grass Poké Assist active, your line will be covered in tall grass, which, if spotted by a Pokémon, will immobilize them for a short while.

Head north and you will find a Mudkip. Prof. Hastings will explain how the Water Poké Assist works. With the Water Assist, if you tap and hold it in 1 spot with the stylus, you'll grow a bubble. The more time you hold the bubble, the bigger it will be. You can then flick the bubble at the Pokémon you're trying to capture and it will be trapped in it for a short amount of time.

After these tutorials you'll be free to explore the forest with the extension to the north that you couldn't access before being open. You can now capture a few more Pokémon. Pokémon in this area(Bold=new). All necessary Pokemon will be mentioned on the page so you dont need to capture every Pokémon.

As you head north, you will find a Torchic that's to the left of the kid with the backwards hat. You will need this Torhic in a few seconds for its

You'll see some haybales in your path, and tapping on them allows you to see they take a Field Move of to clear, so use the Torchic you just captured.

Continue along the path and you'll find a fewPichu who can Recharge your Styler if it's low.

At the end of the path there is a log blocking your path so head back down and a Combusken will jump out of the bushes.

Capture it to burn the log that's blocking the path to continue moving up. You may also find some bushes that require to clear, which you don't have access to yet, so ignore those.

Once the log is cleared you can head up into Krokka Tunnel.

Heading into Krokka Tunnel, you'll only see Bellsprout in the first room.

If you head to the right then through the exit at the bottom, you'll see a guy with some Magikarp, but you can't do anything here yet, so head back into the cave and through the opening at the top.

Heading into the next room, you'll see a Dugtrio, but it'll flee as soon as Hastings goes near it. Boulders will fall, separating you from the Professor, who then requests that you find a way around to get to him. A couple new Pokémon will now be available.

Turn around and find the Paras that fell down.

Capture Paras and use it to cut down the fence. Continue following the path up then you will find a Magnemite.

Capture the Magnemite and keep it just in case you need to recharge your Styler. Continue going right on the path. In the next room you'll find another new Pokémon, Poliwag.

Capture a Poliwag as the Water Poké Assist is one of the best Poké Assist in the game. Once you have capture one one, continue going right on the path and head into the next area.

Go-Rock Squad steals the Super Styler

Heading through the doorway, you'll end up encountering 2 members of the Go-Rock Squad, who steal the Super Styler from Professor Hastings. You chase after them and find out that they were the ones to caused the rock fall. They then run away again and you will exit the Tunnel.

(WARNING: If this is your first time playing the game, it is recommended that you use the Save Machine that's right before the exit of the tunnel. Having a Pokémon that has the Water Assist, like Mudkip or Poliwag, is also recommended. Lastly, make sure you know how to use this Assist relatively well.)

After exiting the tunnel, go right and you'll see a rampaging Rhydon. This is your first "boss battle", and you cannot escape from it.

If you have a Water Assist, it is recommended that you use it to make Rhydon an easy capture. If not, simply be careful for Rhydon's attacks, looping only while it's not throwing boulders, and being careful of its charging attack.

After the capture, you'll immediately release the calmed Rhydon. However, you've finally arrived at your destination, so head right to reach Fall City. You'll have to release every Pokémon you had kept up to this point besides your partner so that they're not removed from their habitat.

Not much to do here right now, just go right until Hastings stops you to say that, even though his Super Styler was stolen, you still managed to protect Hastings himself from any harm, and so you did what you were asked to do wonderfully.
