MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat is a 1995 game by Activision. It is part of the MechWarrior series. Unlike the original MechWarrior it abandons the RPG-like trading system and instead focuses on combat. There were many versions, first with software rendering for MS-DOS and Windows, later with card-specific 3D acceleration, and, still later, Direct 3D support.

Its success led to the release of the expansion pack MechWarrior 2: Ghost Bear's Legacy later that year, as well as the standalone title MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries in 1996. There were also two compilations, MechWarrior 2 Battlepack and MechWarrior 2: The Titanium Trilogy.
