'''Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge''', known as {{nihongo|'''Rockman World'''|ロックマンワールド|Rokkuman Waarudo}} in Japan, is a [[Game Boy]] game developed and published by [[Capcom]]. It was the first entry in the Mega Man series to appear on a handheld gaming device, and was the first of a series of Mega Man games on the platform, distinguishable by the Roman Numerals in the titles of the sequels.

The game's story is similar to other games in the classic Mega Man series. Dr. Wily has built an army of robots, led by eight elite Robot Masters. The first four, which appeared in the original ''Mega Man'', had their own stages, while the last four, from ''Mega Man 2'', appear as bosses in the Wily Stages of the game.

Originally, Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge was originally well received, with ''GamePro'' readers voting it the best handheld game of 1991. The game would have four direct sequels on the Game Boy, following the same basic formula. However, modern audiences have been harsher on the game. This was most apparent in a 2011 Nintendo Life review, which criticized the game's brevity, the size of the game's sprites, and generally comparing poorly to the NES games. The original Japanese title, ''Rockman World'', is clearly different from the NES title, ''Rockman''. Unfortunately, in the Western localization such distinction is lost, and both the NES and GB video games are called "Mega Man" on their title screens.

Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge, originally released in Japan as Rockman World (ロックマンワールド? is a reading help for Japanese players), is a Game Boy game developed and published by Capcom. It was the first entry in the Mega Man sub-series to appear on a handheld gaming device, and was the first of a series of Mega Man games on the platform.

The game's story is similar to other games in the classic Mega Man series. Dr. Wily has built an army of robots, led by eight elite Robot Masters. The first four, which appeared in the original Mega Man, had their own stages, while the last four, from Mega Man 2, appear as bosses in the Wily Stages of the game.

The original Japanese title, Rockman World, is clearly different from the NES title, Rockman. Unfortunately, in the Western localization such distinction is lost, and both the NES and GB video games are called "Mega Man" on their title screens.

The game has four direct sequels on the Game Boy, following the same basic formula.
