== Dwarf Red Bulborb ==
A small creature with a red back. This is the first enemy you fight, and while the one fought on the first day is harmless, all others can eat one Pikmin at a time. Simply swarm it with a large group of Pikmin, or throw a single Pikmin directly on top to kill it instantly.

== Snow Bulborb ==
Same as the Dwarf Red Bulborb, but instead of being red, it is completely white, with blue spots. Simply swarm it with a large group of Pikmin, or throw a single Pikmin directly on top to kill it instantly.

== Dwarf Orange Bulborb ==
These have a slightly higher sight radius than the other dwarf bulborbs and appear to run faster, but they are still very weak enemies. Simply swarm it with a large group of Pikmin, or throw a single Pikmin directly on top to kill it instantly.

== Dwarf Bulbear ==
Stronger than the others, Dwarf Bulbears are not limited to a set area and will follow your Pikmin anywhere. They also will follow Spotty Bulbears. Simply swarm it with a large group of Pikmin, or throw a single Pikmin directly on top to kill it instantly.

== Red Bulborb ==
A large red creature with a big mouth and two legs. These are found sleeping and will wake up when attacked. They can eat multiple Pikmin very quickly, so it is advised to get them out of the way with Purple Pikmin.

== Hairy Bulborb ==
Exactly the same as the Red Bulborb, but with a different appearance to fit the icy caves of the Valley of Repose. The fur covering its back will fall out once the creature's health is halved.

== Orange Bulborb ==
This bulborb is easily identified by its darker face and bright orange backside. It has a higher detection range and will wake up even if you didn't touch it, making it rather dangerous. Throw Purple Pikmin at it to hopefully stun it and leave it vulnerable.

== Spotty Bulbear ==
This creature is very dangerous. It is a fast monster that constantly roams the map in search of Pikmin. It can easily climb over rugged terrain and will almost always have Dwarf Bulbears following it. To add insult to injury, it can also revive itself after defeat, making transport of its corpse a high priority. Throw Purple Pikmin at it to hopefully stun it, but watch out for the dwarf bulbears following it.

== Fiery Bulblax ==
This enemy is covered in fire, meaning only Red Pikmin can attack it. Purple Pikmin can also damage it, but this is a risky strategy. If the bulblax is located near water, it may be necessary to lure it into the water to extinguish the flames and attack it with Blue Pikmin. Using ultra-bitter sprays is recommended.

== Bulbmin ==
Similar to the Spotty Bulbear, this creature has less health but can still easily eat Pikmin. When killed, the baby Bulbmin that were following it can be called into your Pikmin squad. Large amounts of Purple Pikmin are recommended.

== Water Dumple ==
A blue creature found in water. It is slow but is often found in groups and can eat two Pikmin at a time. Swarm with a large amount of Blue Pikmin, but if it is in a group, be careful.

== Fiery Blowhog ==
This bottle-shaped creature will breathe fire at your Pikmin. It is generally not that difficult to deal with and can be easily defeated with Purple Pikmin. Take note that it can buck, knocking attacking Pikmin forward and potentially into danger.

== Watery Blowhog ==
Functionally the same as the Fiery Blowhog, but it sprays water from its snout instead of fire. Blue or Purple Pikmin are recommended, and as usual, beware of the buck.

== Puffy Blowhog ==
This purple flying creature may look intimidating, but it is harmless. It will, however, blow gusts of air from its snout, blowing Pikmin away and stunning captains. Purple Pikmin are too heavy to be affected and will easily weigh the blowhog down when thrown at it.

== Withering Blowhog == 
A smaller version of the Puffy Blowhog that can reduce your Pikmin to leaf level with its breath, although it does not push them away as far as its larger relative. It too cannot kill Pikmin, but it is a nuisance that should be dealt with as soon as possible. Purple Pikmin are recommended.

== Armored Cannon Beetle Larva ==
Green, caterpillar-like enemy. When it sees Pikmin, it will shoot a fast-moving boulder that rolls forward until it hits a wall. Pikmin caught underneath will be crushed to death. The Armored Cannon Beetle Larva takes some time to charge up its shot, however, allowing you to move to the side to avoid the boulder. This enemy can also buck to knock attacking Pikmin forward and into its line of fire, so call them back before it does this. 

Some Armored Cannon Beetle Larvae are found buried in the ground, emerging when approached. They cannot move from their post but have a slightly larger amount of health.

Tip: This enemy's boulder projectiles also damage other enemies. Use this to your advantage when exploring crowded areas.

== Decorated Cannon Beetle ==
This creature is similar to its green relative, but is bright red in color. The boulders it fires will follow captains and Pikmin around, making it more difficult to deal with. Remember to call your Pikmin back when it bucks.

It is recommended that you avoid fighting this enemy with Pikmin. Instead, trick it into hitting itself with its own boulders. Nailing it in the face does more damage than in the sides or back, but this is tricky as the cannon beetle may counter your attack with another boulder.

== Toady Bloyster ==
A pink slug with a gill sack dangling from its rear. This enemy only appears in the Perplexing Pool, in the large pool of water to the right of the landing site. It is slow, but it can eat many Pikmin at a time by snatching them with its multiple tongues. Throw Blue Pikmin at its gill sack to damage it, or, if you drained the water by unlocking the Shower Room, pummel it with Purple Pikmin. When killed, this enemy will drop two 10-pellets and its gill sack, which is worth a whopping twenty-five Pikmin seeds.

== Swooping Snitchbug ==
This green bug is an annoying flying enemy that will swoop down and grab up to two Pikmin in its claws. It will meander about for a few seconds and then throw them into the ground, burying them and reducing them to leaf form. Yellow Pikmin are recommended, but Purple Pikmin also work well.

== Bumbling Snitchbug ==
This blue version of the Swooping Snitchbug targets captains instead of Pikmin, forcing you to dismiss your Pikmin if it gets you. Twirl {{gc|Neutral|Control}} around to free yourself before it throws you into the ground, which damages you.

== Iridescent Flint Beetle ==
This green beetle is harmless and will start skittering around rapidly once it appears. Throwing a Pikmin directly on top of it while it is not moving will cause it to drop pellets (if above ground), nectar and red sprays. It is easier to attack it with Purple Pikmin than with other Pikmin as they generate a shockwave when hitting the ground.

You can get this creature to drop three items before it burrows back underground.

== Iridescent Glint Beetle ==
A shinier, yellow version of the Iridescent Flint Beetle. It yields better rewards such as larger pellets, and sometimes even treasure. Use the same strategy as with any flint beetle.

== Doodlebug ==
This flint beetle is brown and can actually kill Pikmin with the toxic clouds of flatulence it leaves behind. It drops nectar and purple sprays when attacked. Use the same strategy as the other flint beetles, but beware of the dangerous poison.

== Fiery Dweevil ==
A red spider that runs away from Pikmin. It, like all dweevils, will pick up treasures, enemy corpses and even sleeping captains and carry them around as a disguise. If attacked, the Fiery Dweevil will defend itself by surrounding itself with fire. Red Pikmin may be immune to its attack, but Purple Pikmin can easily stun it and empty its health before it has a chance to retaliate.  However, like most dveevils, a captain can simply defeat it by punching it, although the Scorch Gaurd is highly recommended.  Of course, this is a slow process, but due to the Firey Dweevil’s low health, it doesn’t take too long, comparatively.

== Caustic Dweevil ==
A blue spider that runs away from Pikmin. It, like all dweevils, will pick up treasures, enemy corpses and even sleeping captains and carry them around as a disguise. If attacked, the Caustic Dweevil will defend itself by surrounding itself with water. Blue Pikmin may be immune to its attack, but Purple Pikmin can easily stun it and empty its health before it has a chance to retaliate.  Captains can simply punch it, although be careful as it does stun, even with all upgrades.

== Anode Dweevil ==
A yellow spider that runs away from Pikmin. It, like all dweevils, will pick up treasures, enemy corpses and even sleeping captains and carry them around as a disguise. If attacked, the Anode Dweevil will defend itself by surrounding itself with electricity, making it the most dangerous of the four elemental dweevils, though it is also the frailest and can quickly and easily be killed by Purple Pikmin. Use Yellow Pikmin if you feel that the Purple Pikmin strategy is too risky.  This dweevil, like all others (with the exception of the Volitile Dweevil), can be defeated by punching it with a captain.

== Munge Dweevil ==
A purple spider that runs away from Pikmin. It, like all dweevils, will pick up treasures, enemy corpses and even sleeping captains and carry them around as a disguise. If attacked, the Munge Dweevil will defend itself by surrounding itself with poison gas. White Pikmin may be immune to its attack, but Purple Pikmin can easily stun it and empty its health before it has a chance to retaliate, even with the Munge Dweevil's higher defense in comparison to the other dweevils.  As with all dweevils, the Munge Dweevil can be defeated by punching it with a captain.  The Munge Dweevil poses no threat to the captains.

== Volatile Dweevil ==
An extremely dangerous enemy that carries a bomb-rock on its back. Either found in dark alcoves in the tile-themed caves or falling from the ceiling, the first thing this enemy will do upon spotting you is igniting the bomb-rock, then it will give chase. Quickly escort your Pikmin away from it before it explodes.

== Empress Bulblax (Hole of Beasts) ==
Not very hard at all, if you know what to do. You will approach from behind, while it is still sleeping. If any Pikmin attack it, the fight will begin. Hit it with Purples, because they are more aggressive. After inflicting enough damage, it will try to shake your Pikmin off. If it does so, your Pikmin will be flung towards it, and it will roll over your Pikmin. Simply whistle your Pikmin off it.

== Empress Bulblax (Frontier Cavern) ==
This version of the boss is more difficult due to its new attack; summoning Bulborb Larvae, which are very weak but kill Pikmin instantly. The bulblax waits in a large room in the back of the final floor, but the narrow tunnels leading to it are often filled with Bulborb Larvae. To make Pikmin deaths less likely, throw your squad onto the ledge near the Research Pod. The Bulborb Larvae cannot reach this area, allowing you to run around with both captains to reunite with your Pikmin. Once you have your Pikmin in a safe spot, attack the beast with Purple Pikmin. Take note that when it rolls around, any larvae in its path will be crushed, so use this to your advantage. 0therwise, the fight is very similar to the one in the Hole of Beasts. Remember to defeat any remaining larvae with your captains after the Empress Bulblax falls.

== Empress Bulblax (Hole of Heroes) ==
This fight is a bit tricky to handle as you start off by the boss's larva-spawning rear. Try to maneuver around it and place your Pikmin by the exit hole, then use the strategies listed above. Beware, however, as the Empress has a new trick up her sleeve; making boulders fall whenever she rolls into the sides of the arena. Keep your Pikmin behind the exit hole when this happens.

== Burrowing Snagret (White Flower Garden) ==
What appears to be an empty arena is actually inhabited by a vicious bird-snake creature. Despite its imposing appearance and quick attacks, the snagret is actually a rather easy boss. Purple Pikmin are recommended. The boss will emerge from the ground when approached. If it appears quickly, move away and wait for it to burrow back into the ground. Sometimes, it will get stuck and take more time to emerge, giving you an opportunity to pummel it with Purple Pikmin.

This strategy also applies to the snagrets found in the Valley of Repose and Awakening Wood, though in the former, you fight it on a narrow slope instead of a large, flat arena, making it a bit harder to move around.

== Burrowing Snagret (Snagret Hole) ==
On floors three and six of the Snagret Hole, you will encounter Burrowing Snagrets as regular enemies, two in both floors. Fight them as you would fight the White Flower Garden snagret, but keep in mind that additional hazards such as Snitchbugs, Antenna Beetles and water may make things tougher.

== Beady Long Legs (Citadel of Spiders) ==
This armored spider is another easy boss. It will drop down when you walk into the arena and proceed to stomp around, periodically lowering its weak point; the round body. Yellow Pikmin can be thrown very high, so they are the key choice for this fight. Call them back when it roars to avoid having them scattered all over the place, and keep them away from its feet as well, as it is trying to crush them. Repeat until it is dead.

This boss will also appear in the Perplexing Pool after day 31, where it will drop many pellets upon death. Use the same strategy, but watch out for the Spotty Bulbear that also shows up after the same day.

== Beady Long Legs (Hole of Heroes) ==
The Beady Long Legs in the Hole of Heroes is guarded by several dweevils of all four colors, in a watery arena. Ignore them and trigger the boss's appearance. If it falls on land, use the same strategy as the other two fights. If it falls in the water, attack it with Blue Pikmin whenever it lowers its body.
