Yun is the twin brother of Yang and the two are collectively known as the Lee Brothers. A Kung Fu expert from China, he wears a blue baseball cap with a yellow visor, a sleeveless white kung fu shirt, yellow wristbands, and black pants and sneakers. With his twin brother Yang, he entered the third World Warrior tournament to show his skills. They later found and fought Gill, who appreciated their effort and granted them leadership of their town. They passionately turned down his offer, since they only fought him to stop his maniacal plans.

Yun and Yang were placed under their adoptive grandfather's care after their parents died. The grandfather would more appropriately be their master as they learned heavily from him. The restaurant that they work in belongs to him. The Lee Brothers names (and personalities) are based on Yin and Yang, an ancient philosophy. Between the two brothers, Yun is the more confident, outgoing one. He enjoys skateboarding. He and his brother are related to Lee, a character from the original Street Fighter.

Since Street Fighter III, Yun has been made a playable character in many other games. He is selectable in the Game Boy Advance and PSP version of Street Fighter Alpha 3. Yun is the only character in Capcom vs. SNK 2 representing Street Fighter III besides Chun-Li (who is really more of a mix of her SF2 and SF3 self). Yun is also selectable in Capcom Fighting Evolution.

Personal Action

When you perform Yun's personal action (Arcade-Button-HPunch.png+Arcade-Button-HKick.png), his attack power increases for special moves only, but he gets a miniscule increase for normal attacks, command attacks, throws, and Super Arts. If you hold down Arcade-Button-HPunch.png+Arcade-Button-HKick.png, he not only continues to spin his hat around, but he gets a damage increase for all attacks. After a while, the damage bonus maxes out. Alternatively, taunting eight times will max out the damage bonus in the same manner. His PA can hit multiple times.
