FarrMore Content NowThe 2014 Country Music Awards 锟?what a disappointment. I锟絤 sorry if you锟絩e a country music fan, but the entire telecast was a joke. And it certainly wasn锟絫 a country music show. My first thought was about Taylor Swift锟絪 absence. She was nominated for a few awards, but the newfound 锟絧op star锟?was nowhere in sight. It锟絪 no surprise either, CMA recently shunned her for going pop on her latest album, 锟?989.锟?Swift sold an impressive 1.3 million copies of the album in just one week, something no country artist had ever done. Swift was absent, but that didn锟絫 stop the CMAs from going pop all night, starting with a performance from Megan Trainor with Miranda Lambert. They performed Trainor锟絪 current hit 锟紸ll About That Bass.锟?Of all the country stars to capture Trainor锟絪 attitude, Lambert was the best choice. It still was a surprise. But things went from bad to worse when Little Big Town performed their latest hit 锟紻ay Drinkin锟?before Ariana Grande joined them on stage for Ariana锟絪 pop collaborative hit 锟紹ang Bang.锟?Why Grande was even there is beyond me. I like her, but she couldn锟絫 have been more out of place.Trainor and Grande didn锟絫 even need to be there for the show to straddle the genre fence. Most of the performances were definitely not your parents country music. In fact, I don锟絫 really want to classify it as pop or Southern rock, either. From a performance perspective, no one stood out. No performance was worthy of an awards show. I wasn锟絫 impressed with anyone. I also sensed a pattern throughout the show, one I锟絤 sure was unintentional: Several songs performed were about drinking. I锟絤 not a prude, either, I also realize this was a country music show and not a Wiggles concert, but still. Dierks Bentley performed 锟紻runk On A Plane,锟?then it was Little Big Town doing 锟紻ay Drinking.锟?They returned later to perform 锟絊mokin锟?And Drinkin锟斤拷 with Lambert.Eric Church even performed with George Strait. They sang 锟紺owboys Like Us,锟?a song that talked repeatedly of drinking a cold one. LOL! Strait is a country legend who seemed so out of place with Church. The song doesn锟絫 fit him at all. The only thing even remotely 锟絚ountry锟?about the 2014 CMAs was when they honored Vince Gill with the Irving Waugh Award For Excellence. Gill锟絪 humble reaction almost brought tears to my eyes. I hope everyone present in the audience drank up that moment and goes back to making good old fashioned country music with some substance to it. Oh, and there were some awards presented, too. Congrats to Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, who each took home the Vocalist of the Year honors for the fifth consecutive time.Page 2 of 2 - Contact David T. Farr at farroy@hotmail.com.

b Tuckerman employed a methodical offense to shorten the game and keep Pangburn from getting out in transition for easy baskets. The strategy worked as the Bulldogs built a nine-point halftime lead and held off the cold shooting Tigers to pull out a 46-37 victory on Tuesday in 2-2A Conference action at Tiger Arena. Pangburn, which had defeated Tuckerman earlier in the season and entered the game tied for second place, dropped to 15-9 overall and 5-3 in league play. The Bulldogs improved to 9-14 overall and 3-4 in conference games. Pangburn took an early lead on a steal and gliding finger roll by star forward Ty Galyan, who drew a crowd each time he touched the ball. Tuckerman responded with two baskets by post player Donnie Stapleton, who scored deep in the paint and knocked down a jumper from the foul line. The Tigers jumped back on top when guard Austin Beede ripped a three-pointer from left corner and Pangburn pushed its lead to 7-4 on a steal and one-handed slam by Galyan. Following a timeout, Tuckerman guard Hunter Tubbs sank a three-pointer, but Galyan fired back with a hanger in traffic before Tuckerman guard Evan Hubbard slashed into the lane and finished while drawing contact. Hubbard completed the three-point play, giving the Bulldogs a 10-9 lead, which they would maintain for the remainder of the period. The Bulldogs opened the second quarter with a 9-0 run, starting when guard Jacob Hockaday drained a three-pointer from left wing. Stapleton followed his own miss for a basket and Hockaday ripped another three-pointer, causing Pangburn to call for timeout with 5:05 left in the second quarter. Stapleton turned an offensive rebound into a free throw as the Bulldogs took a 19-9 lead before Pangburn ended its eight-minute scoring drought when Galyan dropped a hanger in the lane. After Pangburn guard Ray Haddix made a free throw, Stapleton hit a turnaround bank shot from right side. Galyan answered with a driving scoop shot but Tuckerman guard Jamison Fortenberry sank two free throws with under two seconds left in the first half, boosting the Bulldogs lead to 23-14 heading to the locker room. Tuckerman pushed its lead to double figures early in the third quarter when Tubbs slashed into the lane and finished in heavy traffic. Pangburn bounced back with a 6-0 run spurred by forward Nick Lukas, who scored off an inbound lob. Galyan followed with four straight, hitting a leaner in the lane and making a tough shot over two defenders as the Tigers trimmed Tuckerman s lead to five at 25-20. Using its deliberate offensive strategy, Tuckerman countered with a 6-0 run as Hubbard snuck in the paint for a stick back, Fortenberry beat his defender off the dribble for a layup and Hockaday popped an 18-foot jumper from left wing. Page 2 of 2 - Pangburn closed the gap back to single digits on a bank shot by Haddix and again on a deep three-pointer from guard Jake Tharp, but Tubbs scored inside off an inbound play in the closing seconds of the third quarter, giving the Bulldogs a 37-26 advantage heading into the final eight minutes of play. The Tigers, who began pressing in the second quarter in an attempt to force a faster tempo, turned up the heat a notch in the fourth quarter by trapping the Bulldogs at every opportunity. Tuckerman made 7 of 13 free throws in the fourth quarter while only scoring one basket on a putback by Stapleton, who secured an offensive rebound and hit a baby hook shot. Pangburn struggled at the charity stripe in the fourth quarter, connecting on 1 of 5 foul shots, which put a damper on its comeback attempt. Trailing 39-31 with just over three minutes remaining, the Tigers clawed back in contention as Beede swiped a steal and drove in for a layup, then point guard Mitchell Flint poked free a steal from behind. Haddix gathered the loose ball and passed ahead to Flint for a breakaway layup. Following a Tuckerman timeout, the Bulldogs continued to stall, forcing Pangburn to start fouling. Tubbs stepped to the line and made two free throws, pushing the Bulldogs lead to 41-35 with 2:14 remaining. Lukas followed his own miss for a basket as the Tigers pulled within four once again, but Pangburn couldn t get over the hump as Tubbs made 3 of 4 free throws down the stretch, while Hubbard hit both of his foul shots. Tubbs paced Tuckerman with 12 points, Stapleton followed with 11, Hubbard had nine, Hockaday scored eight and Fortenberry chipped in six. Galyan scored a game-high 15 points for Pangburn and Flint added six all in the fourth quarter. Flint opened the final period with two consecutive baskets, first scoring off a steal by Lukas, then driving coast-to-coast for a layup. Beede chipped in five points, Haddix had four and Tharp contributed a three-pointer for the Tigers, who resume conference play tonight at home versus Midland. http://www.poloralphlaurenmen.name -- Sprinkle ricotta with vanilla sugar and serve with summer fruit: cherries, berries, figs, apricots, peaches.

Alright so there's no getting started section and we are missing:

 • Info on Rupees
Easily added to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Items
 • Info on game engine (physics, getting hit, delays)
Personally, I think this plays an extraordinarily small role in the game since combat is generally very quick and intuitive, but if you really think it's necessary, go for it.
 • Info on how much damage each enemy's attack deals and how much health they each have
Uh... Have you simply failed to notice any of the tables in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Light_World_Enemies and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Dark_World_Enemies???
 • Organized item list (alphabatized, sections etc.)
Make the item list sortable.
 • Additional info on the flute/duck (being able to avoid it, timing involved)
o_O What possible value would that add? I say put it in Glitches if you really think it's necessary.

On IE7, this page has a ton of white space before the disambig template shows up. It shows up right at the end of the infobox, where the ZeldaWiki template begins. Is there an easy fix to this? This is an issue with both {{Wikipedia}} and {{Zeldawiki}}. Not too sure how to fix it, but that's where to look. It's fixed on IE 8. -- Prod (Talk) 17:43, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Enemy names

While comparing consistency between here and Zelda Wiki.org, I've noticed several differences. ZW has people looking for any use of a name for most of the early enemies, by policy puts the English names as the article names, and needs sources on many. One of the few that I found a source for was Pengator, which is labeled as Pentagator here. The source is the dreaded Legendofzelda.com's encyclopedia. If you guys have a better source for them, then major changes will be underway at ZW. Bear in mind, most of my work here will be on the uncreated Kirby games, but I do plan to keep SW and WK consistent. (I think I'm most annoying when I first join a wiki, but once I know all of the ins and outs, I'm good). Axiomist 06:13, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

I was largely responsible for that, although other users have come along and made some changes. I based most of the names on what I believe was the official Japanese guides for the game (two books, red and green). In some cases, I deviated if I felt the English name was much more common, like the Pengator, which I admit I may have made a mistake on. The Japanese name was ファンギン of Fangin (possibly Fanguin). Unfortunately, the American guide has no bestiary. At the moment, I can't recall the specific source the lead to "Pentagator." If I can remember, I will reference my source here.
