Eternal Eyes

Can't say I did, but I couldn't find any sites that mentioned them. It seems they are both the publisher and distributor. -- Prod (Talk) 05:06, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Dungeon Floor Plan

I was planning on putting something like that up. Would it be best to have a map like in Link to The Past, or a small map in Oracle of Ages? There are game and dungeon maps done by TerraEsperZ I can put up. Of course, he gets the credit. Snake's Remains will be slightly tricker, because it's split into two parts. I'm looking forward to pushing this guide up to Stage 2 soon. --|Superpowered Mario 19:25, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

I've uploaded the Hero's Cave map. It's overall size is quite big, but the scale it goes by is exact. I didn't want to tamper with it that much and throw it off. It's technically not a real dungeon, so I wouldn't worry about it. For Gnarled Root Dungeon, the map marks the items and staircases. The only enemies on it are the miniboss and boss, but it's to show keys in the dungeon. That one will be up momentairly. --|Superpowered Mario

Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance.

I'm beginning to like working on this article. I feel like much at home now. Well, don't want to sound nasty but I do regret The Legend of Zelda The Windwaker last year, I was actually too stressed to work on the guide because of Christmas and Boxing Day so sorry about it.

Besides the screenshots which is my weakness, its actually the walkthrough which I admit is the hardest to do and I need some advice on that very part because I'm still thinking about it whether I should do it or not. When you write like a fresh walkthrough, what pointers should I use when I'm writing it? It might not be easy to understand but maybe it helps to learn more tricks of the trade as times are changing. So take your time and hope for the best. Johnnyauau2000 10:30, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind. When you're stress free knowing that you have fun with that game, I hope we can work together but since the weekend is coming, for now I'll try to compile available info like faqs, official websites etc, as long as its reliable. You should continue on cleaning up articles and whenever you're ready, you can help me on this article.

Not to spoil anything but I almost finish the game with Adrianna but I got so caught up with importing that I accidentally save over my life with my brothers file so that's something I like to laugh at. So I'll play the game again on the weekend and do my best to compile the info. Even though it's still not time to put collaberation of the month, I at least enjoy that I'm no longer alone. I hope DrBob isn't busy but thank you very much. Johnnyauau2000 07:16, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Lastly, go for it. If you love this game although I don't know what console you own but go for it. Go out there and buy the game. Johnnyauau2000 07:26, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Hey! How you are doing? I just wanna let you know that, it's pretty funny. I start off as Vahn and because of the strength and dexterity, I manage to blow through the story up to Act 3. The funniest thing is every act of every level comes in threes. Might not be true at first but that's the pattern. Anyway, I think I'm close to finishing the game. But it will be a while longer because I also want to play as Kromlech, Adrianna and Drizzt so I might not be able to edit for a while. Anyway, if you are playing the game, let me know how you go and what character are you playing. Johnnyauau2000 05:59, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

The Gauntlet is pretty hard for me so I decided a safe and time consuming way of finishing that mode to get extreme mode. I'd say I had to reach for the buttons to make the cheat work. I mean you need a big hand to go for the invincible cheat which I shouldn't do but I was frustrated at that point. I'm halfway finishing the game with Kromlech and found only the dwarfs interaction to be different to the other main characters. Anyway, so much for not having a diary! I'll be ready to write a walkthrough and see what methods each character has to use. It will be a few more days. Keep in touch. Johnnyauau2000 03:50, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Geez, I thought you are still busy cleaning up other articles. Well, I do like to think a lot anyway. Judging by the pages you did, I believe you did play that game. After all been along time since you ever did a walkthrough and I like to compliment you on it. So keep up the good work and if you need help, send me a message and I'll do it. I thought I'm going to have nightmares again but maybe soon I'll have a solo chance on a walkthrough when I'm brave enough. Johnnyauau2000 06:04, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

One last thing. I'm curious about the stages. Like stages 1 to stages 4. What are they and how do these work? What's the requirement for going upstage if I put it that way? Put a link to it if you are too busy to answer it. I'll see how it goes. Johnnyauau2000 06:39, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

No that's not what I mean! Each game article has stages. What examples could I give you? Medal of Honor Frontline is stage 4 which means the game article is completed in its highest degree. This game starts at stage 0 which means it's starts at the basic stage and it will take a ton of time until it reaches stage 4. In other words, if you check on the bottom of the main article title with the boxart which has category links, you might understand what I mean. Johnnyauau2000 07:05, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Not to shatter any illusions but this game is also made by High Voltage Software. I wonder if it's too late to add it? I mean yes this game is made by Snowblind Studios but how should I put it? Any game you start, the developers or publishers logo or both comes at the beginning before you go to a menu of the game. By the end of June, this company would finish The Conduit which is a sci-fi shooting game made for the Wii. So if you think it's a good idea, you can put it in. If not than that's ok. HoMMIII book and few questions about categorizing

Hi, I'd like to ask you a question about categorizing images - where spells/building images should go? Another thing, is should I upload the completely same images that where used with that spell in the game, or should I fix these bugs (I'm asking, as View Air/Earth has switched images (only in the spell book - otherwise their correct (checked))). Soeb 15:30, 7 June 2009 (UTC) (sorry, unsigned)

Censoring revisions

Seriously?. This feature was meant so that particularly bad things can be hidden (personal attacks, confidential info, etc.). It isn't supposed to be a tool to censor out everything "bad" that gets put into the site -- as long as it gets reverted 99.9% of the viewers won't even know about it. Those that are smart enough to go into the history to look at old revisions are probably mature enough to handle some vulgar language anyway.

My point is, don't be a G-rated site nazi, and use the tool responsibly instead of abusing it. --Skizzerz 15:46, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

If a revision is vandalism, it need not exist. If it is removed from the public eye, then the history also looks cleaner. We don't have a censorship policy as of yet, and I am not doing this because I feel a certain way towards the content of their edits (although I do tend to ignore censoring gibberish that excludes profanities...). I do feel that this should be used in a "censor all or none" fashion, but I don't think I should be doing that right now, so I will refrain from overly censoring until further consensus. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:38, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Redirect

Is Fatal Fury:Wild Ambition/Characters/Andy supposed to be a redirect? Just wondering how this works. - najzereT 20:08, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Wha-wha-wha-whaaaaaat?

Someone... else... is covering... a 1987 Famicom game??? NMH!!!

LOL!

Just thought you'd get a kick out of this. The images aren't usable, but they'd be a good guide for a more professionally made map through Gimp or even Paint: http://www.geocities.jp/chester_field1987/ If you don't get around to it, I can eventually. Procyon 01:07, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Maplestory Mass Editing

Do you mind locking the rest of the location-related pages? Besides the Ereb page, there is unneccesary editing everywhere like on the Kerning City and Henesys pages, thanks. SVT125

TMNTII and TMNT AC

Hey bud. Just putting this out there, you can take me up on it, or pass on the suggestion and keep going. But my thoughts on these two games is that they are a lot like Green Beret; the NES game is essentially the Arcade game with a couple of added stages and poorer graphics. The way I set up that guide was to list all of the stages in the NES version, and link the footer navs to optionally skip the NES exclusive levels for those who are only interested in the arcade levels. On common levels, I used the arcade as the base for the guide, and added a "NES differences" section on the bottom, and the on NES exclusive levels, I described them just as I did for the arcade levels. If you think that the games are distinct enough, or it is simply easier to present them the way that you are, then by all means keep going with the separate guides. Catch you later. Procyon 14:19, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

I'll get around to doing the arcade guide as well via the XBLA/MAME version. I played the demo last night, and just 10 minutes of gameplay shows a distinct amount of differences. I think it would be easier to work with if both guides were completed before trying to merge them. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:15, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Collab of the month

Chrono Trigger had more votes, what's up with Devil May Cry? — najzereT 01:20, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

It's a year old. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 01:20, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Maple Story experience table

About the Maple Story experience table on MapleStory/Stats: As stated before, the values I put in were just estimates which are very close to the actual amount. That's is why I deleted most of the cumulative values (so in case one value is wrong, the 199 other values won't have to be re-edited). This is only until all of the values in the table are completely correct. However, if you want, I can put the estimated cumulative values back on the experience table. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by VNBoy94 (talkcontribs) .

June-July competition

Me too, Curse of Monkey Island is hilarious. It also feels like one of the few guides I could actually get to completion stage 4. I still have my old PC and am planning on hooking it up just so I can play that game again twice while gathering screenshots of everything. I can't define how annoyed I was yesterday finding out how the fancy Vista using computer was absolutely not compatible with it.

You have great timing though since there is something I wanted to try to plot out with someone else that is familiar with the game. The harder difficulty (mega monkey challenge I think) simply requires more specific and complicated solutions. If someone wants to play through twice on both difficulties trying to get as far as they can without help it may be bad to have the harder solutions out in the open. It can be seen as a super spoiler and once the solution has been read it can't be unread (this exact thing happened to me when I was stuck).

I was thinking we should either use something that would conceal it like the clue template or let the user choose their setting at the top of the screen like the control selector template (I'm swaying towards the second example). How do you think we should go about it? --Zaiqukaj 08:37, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Re: Mirai no Toukyou

Oh, I'm sorry. I am typing in Japanese a lot and it's a habit to type Tokyo like Toukyou (wāpuro). My bad. Besides, I don't think that the name "Neo Tokyo" is an official translation. Vigilium 13:49, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

  • I haven't noticed it myself xD It's becouse the "engrish" equivalent used in Japan is intaafeesu ;) and I'm not a native english speaker. Vigilium 08:40, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Romanization

Sure, I could provide the Japanese names of monsters, but I need to know one thing. Which system of romanization does the Strategy Wiki prefer? Vigilium 11:14, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

my cheats

they are my cheats so im referencing myself —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Billybob (talkcontribs) .

well if that is true why do you bother having any references? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Billybob (talkcontribs) .

then why does The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Cheats have references then?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Billybob (talkcontribs) .

then maybe you should delete StrategyWiki:Guide/References?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Billybob (talkcontribs) .
Also, when adding information, make sure that you have tested the info out yourself and if you haven't personally tried a method recommended in a non-StrategyWiki guide, at least cross reference it (if possible) with other guides. StrategyWiki:Guide/Research—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Billybob (talkcontribs) .

so that page disagrees with you, and so do I.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Billybob (talkcontribs) .

you are not obeying StrategyWiki:Guide/Research by deleting all those, what are these new standards then?Billybob 21:57, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
