  • Escort the Scavenger as it gathers bio-metal.

Walkthrough[edit]

Choosing a vehicle.

Mission 1 assumes you have completed the tutorial and have knowledge on how to command units and build them.

Your first task is to choose which of four vehicles to complete the mission with. Around you will also be a number of usable weapons to further customize your vehicle. Your choices are as follows:

  • The Razor (leftmost) is very light, though you should experience only sporadic resistance on this level.
  • The Thunderbolt (left) is a heavy vehicle packing a lot of firepower, but is extremely sluggish in turns. New players should avoid this choice.
  • The Bobcat (right) is a flexible choice, though it doesn't have the most firepower options. It's best to choose this, or the Grizzly.
  • The Grizzly is the most flexible vehicle, featuring a good balance of speed, firepower, and armour. With two cannon hardpoints and a mortar, it can make the most out of the surrounding weapon options.

Also unique to this mission are two weapon modifications - the first is directly in front of you, and replaces your manually detonating mortar with the pop gun. The pop gun is an automatic lock-on mortar that enemies will have trouble dodging, making it a good choice for players getting used to aiming at and hitting targets while strafing.

Failure Condition
Do not stray too far from the scavenger - the mission will fail if one is destroyed.

The second weapon is unique to the game, and is the Rave Gun. The Rave Gun is a joke weapon that is also lethally powerful. When holding down the fire button, the Rave Gun fires pulsating orbs of energy to the sound of techno music. The orbs explode on contact, dealing huge amounts of damage to the target and anything near it. Poorly aimed shots can cause lots of self-damage. However, this is the only mission in which the Rave Gun exists, and is your only chance to try it out.

Destroying Russian spacecraft with the power of wubs.

When you're ready to proceed, order your recycler to construct a Scavenger. It is your only option at this point. The scavenger will automatically head towards the scrap field.

After a short while, the scavenger will be attacked by one CCA Flanker. Using the Rave Gun from a safe distance will be more than enough to destroy the target with wubs. A second and a third Flanker will spawn a few seconds later - marked Enemy(2) on the map. Destroy these in the same manner.

After the first scavenger makes it back to base safely, a second scavenger will appear and also be accosted by Soviets. Be careful using the Rave Gun - its splash damage may cause undue damage to the scavenger, and losing it will cost you the mission.

A final Flanker will spawn at Enemy(2) on the map. Destroy this one to save the last scavenger and complete the mission.
