Objectives[edit]
- Secure the M1A2 Abrams tank stranded in the bog.
- Eliminate enemy forces in the apartment.
- Destroy the armoured vehicles on the overpass.
- Intercept the enemy before they can overrun the tank.
- Destroy the ZPU anti-aircraft gun.
- Plant the IR beacon to signal air support.
- Regroup with the squad at the tank.
Eliminate enemy forces in the apartment[edit]
You will start the game with a long road ahead of you, you should go down this slowly as there is an ambush planned for you in the large apartments to the left. Once you trigger the ambush, take cover behind a broken down tank on the left hand side of the road or behind any cars or tanks you see if this is too far away. After all the cars have exploded, go forward to another line of burning cars, prone here if you are injured then go down the stairs to the right and turn on your Night-vision goggles.
There will be a hole in a wall to your left, fire through here until all of the enemies are dead, then go past and into the building. Private Roycewicz will be near the stairs, when he goes up there, he will be attacked, get ready to shoot/knife his attacker. If you manage to do this on the Xbox 360, you will get the achievement "Rescue Roycewicz". If you have trouble doing this hen throw a grenade up the stairs, Roycewicz will run away and if the grenade does not kill the enemy, you will have an easy shot at him. Take his AK-47 and proceed
After going up another set of stairs, there will be a door to a long corridor, throw a grenade or use your grenade launcher to clear out most of the enemies, afterwards, stay back for a bit and let your team handle the survivors. Now go down the corridor and take a left, there should be a lot of RPGs and a mounted machine-gun, use this to eliminate the enemies in the building in-front of the gun. After you have cleared these out, swap a weapon for your pistol (Dragunov or G3 would be a good choice) go out of the building.
You will be in a courtyard. Either go to the left side of the building or go into the building, if you go through the left side then there should be a few enemies coming at you. Kill these then wait, a few more should come, kill these as well then go to the end of the passageway, once you get to the corner, aim right and try to pick off a few enemies here. If you got injured then retreat back. If you choose the building then wait as enemies come through the doorway and then shoot them. When they are all dead you will have to pick up the Javelin Anti-Tank missile. You can either attack from in the Courtyard or on the second floor of the building. After most of the tanks are destroyed, you will have to quickly get to the stranded tank.
You can sprint straight to the area with the tank in, there isn't any enemies in the way.
Defending the tank[edit]
When you get to the tank, instead of rushing in to the left, go straight on north and hide behind a wall, from there you will be able to kill most of the enemies and as you are not close to the tank, they will not shoot at you much.
After you have killed enough enemies you'll be told to destroy an anti-aircraft gun so that you can get backup. Head As far North as you can then head west to the far end of the area, if you get injured then prone in the ditch at the far north and you will be safe. After clearing out most enemies, attack the enemy on the anti-air gun, if you have any grenades then throw them in the building connected to the gun to make sure then run into the building and plant a C4 on the gun. once you are outside, blow up the charges then run to the next objective to plant the IR beacon. After that's in place, head back to the tank and the mission will end.
