Upgrade levels apply to your company as a whole, and unlock as you progress through the game. There are three upgrade levels: S, M, and L. Though it implies "Small", "Medium", and "Large", there are usually no size requirements for these upgrades. Beginning at upgrade level S, complete 3 goals to unlock level M, and then complete three more goals at level M to unlock the final level.
Although many upgrades make mention of construction worker staff and foremen, they are not visible in the open world. Foremen usually appear at the end of a job to speak to and conclude the task, but serve no other purpose and disappear when interacted with.
Most construction goals share a requirement with one of the upgrades in its list.
The Construction Helper is a tool used by bulk cargo transports, including dump trucks, asphalt pavers, and concrete mixers. By paying slightly more than the cost of the materials, the vehicle you are driving will instantly fill up.

Own a total of 3 construction machines to hire a mechanic on site. The mechanic will take care of all pending repairs on your construction machines. Note: Costs 50,000.
Company Premises II
From now on you have a second company premises in the city. Before you can enter it, the "Expansion" contract from the opening campaign must be completed.
Have 150,000 in your account.
To finance the move to larger company premises, you need to have 150,000 in your account. Tip: You can always accept well-paid contracts via the job menu. Note: Costs 150,000.
Loan I
A bank has taken notice of you and offers a loan of 250,000. Tip: Open the Company menu and switch to the finance section to take out or repay a loan.
Reach level S (Complete the opening campaign before Expansion).
Expansion
Good job! With this last task, you have completed level S and advanced to level M. New features and improvements await you there!
Complete the "Expansion" contract from the opening campaign to complete level S and unlock the entire game world. Tip: This is the final mission. Complete all other tasks in this level beforehand.
Parking I
The parking areas in the yard of your company premises have been expanded. From nwo on you can move out +10 construction machines at the same time.

Workshop I
You now have your own workshop on your company premises. With the automatic repair in the vehicle hall, all stored construction machines are repaired 1%/min free of charge.

A foreman has joined your company. You can now accept two contracts at the same time.
Complete one campaign.
Complete a campaign to recruit a foreman for your company and manage more construction sites at the same time.

Mechanic II
Stored construction machines are automatically repaired 3% faster per minute and refuelled 6% faster per minute. You also get a +10% discount at the vehicle dealer.
Own 12 construction machines.
Own a total of 12 construction machines to motivate your mechanic to increase speed.

Gas Station I
You have unlocked your own fuelling unit on the company premises. Refuelling at your own pump or stored in the vehicle hall is 10% cheaper than outside in the city.
Refuel 25 times at external gas stations to set up a gas pump on your company premises.
Job Situation I
The clients of the city have become aware of your company. From now on you will be offered 2 additional contracts.
Reach level M.
Workshop
As of now, construction machines can be quickly repaired in an area in front of the vehicle hall. + Repairs on the company premises, are 20% cheaper than outside in the city[sic].

Repair 25 times at external gas stations to set up a workshop and henceforth make repairs in the yard.

Your bank now believes in your success and increases your credit line to 1,000,000. Tip: Open the Company menu and switch to the Finance section to take out or repay a loan.

Complete two campaigns.
Complete another campaign to hire an additional foreman for your company to be able to accept more contracts at the same time.
Mechanic III
Stored construction machines are automatically repaired 4% faster per minute and refuelled 8% faster per minute. You also get a +15% discount at the vehicle dealer.
Own 18 construction machines.
Own a total of 18 construction machines to send your mechanic on a training course to learn how to repair even more efficiently.

Your bank now believes in your success and increases your credit line to 1,000,000. Tip: Open the Company menu and switch to the Finance section to take out or repay a loan.

Repairing at the company workshop on your company premises or in the vehicle hall is 30% cheaper than outside in the city.

Repair 50 times on the road or on company premises to get a reasonable discount when repairing in your company workshop.
Parking III
Fortunately, more parking options have been added to your company premises. You can now store +10 additional construction machines at the same time.
