Square 13: 3-Taku (3択)[edit]

NGQ Africa Zou.png

At the start of this square, the Katakana/Kanji text of Noruma 4-mon (ノルマ4問) shall come up into view from the bottom of the screen, for what could be the sixth time as the Katakana/Hiragana text of Afurika Zou ga awa reta! (アフリカゾウがあわれた!) appears up at the top of the screen; the Kanji text Dai 1-mon (第1問) shall now appear on the screen as the Africa Zou poses his first question and the timers on both sides of the screen start counting down. Once you answer four questions correctly, that three-script text "Ugyāā!" Afurika Zou wo taoshita! (「うぎゃあああーっ!」 アフリカゾウを倒した!) shall then appear at the top of the screen as the Africa Zou explodes - and once he lands, two cherubs shall fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen as the Katakana text of Noruma kuria! (ノルマクリア!) comes up into view from the bottom of the screen. The screen will then fade back to the shot of the island, as a three-script text of Botan wo oshite, ikisaki wo eran kudasai. (ボタンを押して、行き先を選んください). appears up at the top of the screen and Squares 7, 14, and 19 start flashing in turn; once you have pushed any of the Answer Buttons while the square you want to move on to is flashing, your character will move to it. The Africa Zou also crushes one of the island natives, each time he gets blown away - and Square 14 is another picture stage.

Square 14: E No Mondai (絵の問題)[edit]

(アシカがあわれた!) appears up at the top of the screen; the Kanji text Dai 1-mon (第1問) shall now appear upon the screen as the Ashika poses his first (fifteen-puzzle) question and the timers on both sides of the screen start counting down. Once you've answered four questions correctly, the three-script text "Ugyāā!" Ashika wo taoshita! (「うぎゃあああーっ!」 アシカを倒した!) shall then appear at the top of the screen (as the Ashika explodes) - and once he lands, two cherubs shall fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen as the Katakana text Noruma kuria! Once you've answered four questions correctly, that three-script text "Ugyāā!" Hachi wo taoshita! (「うぎゃあああーっ!」 ハチを倒した!) shall then appear at the top of the screen (as the Hachi explode) - and once they land, two cherubs shall fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen as that Katakana text Noruma kuria! (ノルマクリア!) comes up into view from the bottom of the screen. The screen will then fade back to the shot of the island as the three-script text Botan wo oshite, ikisaki wo eran kudasai. Both Square 16 and Square 21 are "Noruma -1" stages, where a required number of correct answers gets reduced by one at the start of the stage.

Square 16: Noruma -1 (ノルマ-1)[edit]

NGQ Hihi.png

The Kanji text of Dai 1-mon (第1問) will now appear upon the screen as the Hihi poses his first question and the two timers on both sides of the screen start counting down - and once you've answered four questions correctly the three-script text "Ugyāā!" Hihi wo taoshita! (「うぎゃあああーっ!」 ヒヒを倒した!) shall then appear at the top of the screen as the Hihi explodes. Once he lands, two cherubs shall fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen as the Katakana text Noruma kuria! (ノルマクリア!) comes up into view from the bottom of the screen; the screen will then fade out to the shot of the island, as that three-script text of Botan wo oshite, ikisaki wo eran kudasai. (ボタンを押して、行き先を選んください.) appears at the top of the screen (and Squares 10, 17, and 22 begin flashing in turn). Once you have pushed any of the Answer Buttons while the square you want to move onto is flashing, your character will move to it - and Square 22 is also another "TIME X2" one.

Square 17: Genre Select (ジャンルセレクト)[edit]

NGQ Koarikui.png

At the start of this square, that Katakana/Kanji text Noruma 5-mon (ノルマ5問) will come up into view from the bottom of the screen, for what could be the fifth time as the Katakana/Hiragana text Koarikui ga awa reta! (コアリクイがあわれた!) appears at the top of the screen; the Katakana text Janru serekuto! (ジャンルセレクト!) will then come up into view from the bottom of the screen, and you'll now have ten seconds to choose between Jinmonkagaku (人文科学), Shakai Kagaku (社会科学), Shizen Kagaku (自然科学), and Nonsekushon (ノンセクション). Once you answer five questions correctly, the three-script text "Ugyāā!" Koarikui wo taoshita! (「うぎゃあああーっ!」 コアリクイを倒した!) shall appear at the top of the screen (as that Koarikui explodes) - and once he lands, two cherubs shall fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen as the Katakana text Noruma kuria! (シロクマがあわれた!) appears at the top of the screen; the Kanji text of Dai 1-mon (第1問) will now appear upon the screen, as the Shirokuma poses his first question and the two timers on both sides of the screen start counting down. Once you answer five questions correctly the three-script text of "Ugyāā!" Shirokuma wo taoshita! (「うぎゃあああーっ!」 シロクマを倒した!) shall then appear at the top of the screen (as the Shirokuma explodes) - and once he has landed, two cherubs shall fly into view from the left and right sides of the screen as the Katakana text Noruma kuria! (ノルマクリア!) comes up into view, from the bottom of the screen. The screen will then fade out to the shot of the island, as the three-script text of Botan wo oshite, ikisaki wo eran kudasai. (ボタンを押して、行き先を選んください.) appears at the top of the screen and Squares 12 and 24 begin flashing in turn; once you have pushed any Answer Button while the square you want to move onto is flashing your character will move to it. Square 24 is also another 3-Taku (3択) stage, where the questions will only have three possible answers as opposed to the normal number of four, but there's still a two-out-of-three chance of answering one of them wrongly and losing a "life-jewel" (or the game, if you're down to your last "life-jewel").
