Z-Moves are a new mechanic, consisting of a very powerful move that can only be used once per battle, with the exception of Rotom's Z-Move (allowing you to use 2 Z-Moves per battle).
Typed Z-Moves[edit]
There is a Z-Move for every type. A Pokemon must know a move of that type in order for the Z-Move to work: for example, a Pikachu must know Thundrshock in order to use Gigavolt Havoc.
- Normal - Breakneck Blitz
- Fire - Inferno Overdrive
- Water - Hydro Vortex
- Electric - Gigavolt Havoc
- Grass - Bloom Doom
- Ice - Subzero Slammer
- Fighting - All-Out Pummeling
- Poison - Acid Downpour
- Ground - Tectonic Rage
- Flying - Supersonic Skystrike
- Psychic - Shattered Psyche
- Bug - Savage Spin-Out
- Rock - Continental Crush
- Ghost - Never-Ending Nightmare
- Dragon - Devastating Drake
- Dark - Black Hole Eclipse
- Steel - Corkscrew Crash
- Fairy - Twinkle Tackle
Signature Z-Moves[edit]
Some Pokemon have their own signature Z-Moves.
- Decidueye - Sinister Arrow Raid
- Incineroar - Malicious Moonsault
- Primarina - Oceanic Operetta
- Pikachu - Catastropika. If the right crystal is used, it can also learn 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt.
- Eevee - Extreme Evoboost
- Alolan Raichu - Stoked SparkSurfer
- Tapu Bulu, Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, Tapu Fini - Guardian of Alola
- Mew - Genesis Supernova
- Marshadow - Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike
- Necrozma - Light That Burns the Sky, (Ultranecronium Z) Searing Sunraze Smash (Solgalium Z), and Menacing Moonrace Maelstrom (Lunalium Z)
- Lycanroc - Splintered Stormshards
- Kommo-o - Clangorous Soulblaze (Must already know Clanging Scales)
- Mimikyu - Let's Snuggle Forever
- Snorlax - Pulverizing Pancake
