Once Pat and Jess have reappeared on the screen in PAT 1, you will have to press 
to accelerate it, then push the D-Pad up to direct it up around a puddle; once you've done so, you will have to push that D-Pad down to direct PAT 1 back down around another puddle, and up again to direct it around two more puddles and six more traffic cones. You'll then have to direct PAT 1 down around a fifth puddle, down again around a sixth puddle, up around a seventh puddle, down around an eighth puddle, and up around four open manholes and three more puddles - and once you have done this, you shall have to direct it down, around a twelfth puddle, up around six more traffic cones and two more open manholes, down around three more puddles and a thirteenth traffic cone, and up around four more puddles and three more traffic cones. You will then have to direct it down between a seventeenth traffic cone and a seventh open manhole, up (around two more puddles and three more traffic cones), down between a twenty-first traffic cone and two more open manholes, up between a twenty-second puddle and ten more traffic cones, and up again around two more puddles; once PAT 1 has crossed the finish line (where PC Arthur Selby is waiting), the text "Congratulations, you have completed the level!" will appear on the screen. The screen will then cut to the shot of Ajay from the end of Level 2-C (only this time the first question mark has been replaced by a whistle) - and you shall now proceed to Level 4-A, which involves finding Dorothy and Alf Thompson (who didn't actually appear as much in the revived series as they did in the original one).
