  • If you're not very familiar with the game and wonder what weapon is most effective, use katana. Many players find the sword move easy to use than kusarigama.
  • In a 2-player game come to the weapons each player will be using during the game. The most optimal way is to handle katana by one player and kusarigama by the other one.
  • If someone picked up bombs in a 2-player game, it's better to destroy chests with bonuses by the other player unless you want to waste such powerful weapon as bombs on it.
  • Enemies don't respawn. If you loose the sight of an enemy and come back, it will spawn. But if you destroy the enemy, you will never see it again. Note that bottomless pits make enemies disappear, but don't kill them.
  • Don't be too bloodthirsty. Some enemies are easier to avoid that to destroy.
  • If you run left, you will be too close to the edge of the screen, and enemies will appear unpredictably. Keep this in mind if you have left some enemies behind and need to make a few steps back.
  • If you destroy the boss, your life meter will replenish. The closer you are to the boss, the more life points you will gain.
  • If you destroy the boss and will be destroyed with it at the same time, you will be resurrected by life replenishing.
