Hourglass まほうのとけい |
By making use of the Hourglass, time will stop for all of the enemies in the current battle, and they will cease moving.

Candle ロウソク |
Allows you to discern your enemies in the dark, as well as how much strength they have remaining. Wears down over time (unless it's at Lv8). Without it, all enemies appear as "Zombies."

|
Key かぎ |
Keys are needed to unlock the doors at the end of each level in order to reach the final level boss. If a key matches the current level, it is automatically used upon reaching the door. This item also sells a lot.

|
Sack ふくろ |
Using the bag allows you to escape from the bosses room and return to the section of the level immediately before the doors at the end of the level.

Weapons[edit]
Weapons which deteriorate decrease by one level after a set number of uses. Weapons of Level 8 will never deteriorate. When a level 1 weapon deteriorates, it is removed from your inventory. Additionally, candles, rings, bracelets, and necklaces can be used as weapons, but they will only do one point of damage at all levels. Some of the weapons can be used like an item.

Important: In Famicom version, there is a critical glitch that, upon gaining new level, your armors will lose all effect until you pick another and equip. This does not happen in MSX2 version.
However, attempting to equip a weaker armor will not remove the stronger armor. (i.e. Use Boots 1 while wearing Boots 6 will result in keeping Boots 6.)
