National Park

The National Bug-Catching Contest takes place here every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. You can catch lots of interesting Bug Pokémon, but you can only keep the last one. You will only be allowed to take one of your own Pokémon into the contest, so pick one that isn't weak against Bugs, but won't take them out with one shot. The prizes are:

  • 1st: Sun Stone
  • 2nd: Everstone
  • 3rd: Gold Berry
  • Any other: Berry
Contest
Caterpie Metapod Butterfree
Weedle Kakuna Beedrill
Paras Venonat Scyther
Pinsir

The lady on the bench to the right of the entrance will give you a Quick Claw. In the northeast corner, there is a gap in the wall to the right of the man with the Gameboy (even though the wall appears to be solid).
