Background Info

The three Legendary Beasts are Suicune, Raikou and Entei, their moves depend on the versions, in Silver Suicune has Leer, Water Gun, Roar and Gust, in Crystal it has Leer, Bubblebeam, Rain Dance and Gust, this is probably because you can catch Suicune in Tin Tower in Crystal and the developers didn't want him using Roar. Entei knows Leer, Ember Roar and Fire Spin and Raikou knows Leer, Roar, Thundershock and Quick attack, now on to strategies.

All are Level 40.

Finding Them

To find them first you need to see them, then you can find which area they are in. Good places to be are Route 36 - because of it's links to other routes, if the Pokémon is to the left of Ecruteak, then go into the link place between Ecruteak and Route 38. It is a good place to check the PokéDex because if The Pokémon's in Route 39 you've got it.

Incapacitating Them

The easiest way is to make the Pokémon fall asleep, then swap to a Pokémon that can lower it's health, Mean Look and others are good, but they can still use Roar to escape.

To catch Suicune, a few steps are needed to reach it:

1. You must have 3 different types of Pokémon in your party.
2. Your Pokémon must have FLASH skill, SLEEP POWDER skill , TACKLE(Normal skill), ULTRA BALLS, and 2 FAST BALLS.
3. FLASH skill is use to reduce the ACCURATE attack of SUICUNE. FLASH skill is also use to light up dark area(DARK CAVE)is example of able place for lighting up. You can get this skill on (Head monk at Sprout Tower--Violet City)
4. SLEEP POWDER skill is use to sleep up wild Pokémon. You can get this skill by catching on TANGELA, Weepinbell. This both Pokémon have SLEEP POWDER skill. You can located these Pokémon on Route 44.
5. TACKLE is a normal hurting skill. Use any Pokémon that got TACKLE skill. For better strategy, use level 20 to 25 level Pokémon because this TACKLE skill is use to let the SUICUNE health to 1HP or 10HP. You don't know how many HPs SUICUNE does, then just leave a little red HPs during battle on SUICUNE. If you can leave a very little HPs(red HPs) of SUICUNE, the rate of catching this Pokémon will be more EASIER.
6. And of course you need few of the ULTRA BALL. Its hard to find these ball, but you can buy this ULTRA BALL at Blackthorn City. You must finish your way to Blackthorn City by complete your way at the begin of ICE PATH then to the end of ICE PATH(PLEASE READ AT ICE PATH GUIDE).
7. At Blackthorn City, you can buy ULTRA BALLS. Try to buy these BALLS up to 20 or 30 BALLS before you catching on SUICUNE.
8. You also must have at least 2 or more FAST BALLS. You cannot buys this BALLS accept finding them or create them. WHITE APRICON is an item used to create 1 Fast Ball.
9. Before you catching on SUICUNE, make sure you line up your Pokémon party.
   • First Pokémon is Magnemite or second evolve os Magnemite(Magneton). These Pokémon must learned FLASH SKILL.
   • Second Pokémon is Weepinbell or TANGELA(I USE WEEPINBELL WHEN I GOT SUICUNE).
   • Third Pokémon is any Pokémon between level 20 to level 25.(I USE Scyther--LEVEL 18--ON SUICUNE) YOU CAN GET Scyther ON NATIONAL PARK DURING CONTEST(MAYBE TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY)) OR NORMAL DAY.
10. ON THE WAY TO SUICUNE(TIN TOWER) PLEASE SAVE YOUR DATA AFTER YOU FOLLOW ALL THIS ABOVE STEPS. DURING THE FIGHT, FIRST STEPS IS USING FLASH SKILL. IT IS USE TO REDUCE THE ACCURACY OF SUICUNE ATTACK. USE THE FLASH UP TO 5 TURNS UNTIL THE SYSTEM SAID"SUICUNE ACCURACY WON'T DROP ANY MORE", THEN YOU CHANGE YOUR Pokémon TO WEEPINBELL OR TANGELA. IT IS USE TO MAKE SUICUNE SLEEP. NOW, YOUR TARGET IS LEAVE SUICUNE'S HPs(HEALTH POINTS) TO RED OR THE INDICATOR OF SUICUNE HPs IS LITTLE(RED) CAN HOLD ONLY ONE ATTACK OF YOUR Pokémon. THE SUICUNE IS SLEEP AND ONLY GOT LITTLE RED HPs LEFT WILL LET YOU MORE EASIER AND MUCH MORE RATE TO CATCHING SUICUNE.TRY THE ULTRA BALLS UP TO 5 TURNS, IF STILL WON'T GET IT TRY ONE FAST BALL THEN USE 5 TURNS ULTRA BALLS, IF STILL FAILED USE ONE FAST BALL AND USE ALL ULTRA BALLS TO CATCH THE SUICUNE.

Lowering HP

There are two ways to do this, either get a Scyther and train it up to Level 16 where it learns False Swipe, this will bring it's health down to 1HP, it misses after that, so it is a good move for Lowering HP. The other way if you don't have a Scyther (found in National Park), get a weak Pokémon like a level 5 and use their attack move, it will probably do 1 HP damage, do this then exit the battle and save until the beast faints (obviously don't save). Restart the game with the off switch then you should start flinging Ultra Balls when it's asleep, you should get it sooner or later that way but obviously the first way's quicker.
