The game starts off when the player gets transformed into a Pokémon, which could be any of these 16 Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Chikorita, Cubone, Cyndaquil, Eevee, Machop, Meowth, Mudkip, Pikachu, Psyduck, Skitty, Squirtle, Torchic, Totodile and Treecko, chosen by taking a personality quiz. The partner can be one of the ten Pokémon, which are one of the starter Pokémon from the 1st,2nd, and 3rd generations. (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Chikorita, Cubone, Cyndaquil, Eevee, Machop, Meowth, Mudkip, Pikachu, Psyduck, Skitty, Squirtle, Torchic, Totodile and Treecko.) The mechanics of the game is when you and your partner do missions and you beat a wild Pokémon they might join your team if you have the Pokémon's Friend Area, bought from Wigglytuff in Pokémon Square. You can recruit 2 Pokémon in a dungeon, unless you bring three Pokémon which is the maximum you can bring in a dungeon. Missions are jobs you can do and at the end after you complete them you get rewards.
