Andy Bogard (アンディー・ボガード) is the brother of Terry Bogard and the son of Jeff Bogard. Although he is of American descendant, he was raised and trained in Japan (unlike his brother Terry).
Story (in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition)
A bit moved towards emotions and fury, Andy has a hard time controlling his impulses. He tries so hard to surpass his brother Terry and to exact revenge on Geese, that he almost forgets all about himself. He finds his true love in Mai, whom Andy really loves, although he's afraid to admit it, since he is so insecure. Still, he cares a lot for his friends, his brother, and Mai, although in the mean time, Andy has to take the pressure of silence!

Billy Kane (ビリー・カーン) is a fighting game character who hails from England, loves punk rock and plays the guitar very well. He fights with a weapon that can be either used as a bo or as a three section staff, which he can ignite with fire. He always tries to look out for his little sister Lilly Kane.
Story (in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition)
Short tempered and with angry impulses, Billy is not really an evil man at heart. He really loves and cares about his sister Lilly, and is concerned about the fact that she is dating one of Billy's enemies, Joe Higashi. Billy had always been loyal to Geese to the very end, and even considered him to be a close friend after so many experiences together.

Duck King (ダック・キング) is a fighter, DJ and bar owner who grew up in one of South Town's many ghettos. His fighting style uses a combination of various forms of dancing (mainly breakdancing).
Story (in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition)
With a passion for dancing as well as for fighting, Duck King has a happy-go-crazy kind of vision of life, but always joyful and filled with hope and promise for the future. Perhaps he can sometimes be too much of a troublemaker, but he is always ready to help out his friends in need. He also has this special thing for pet chicks, as he always keeps his pet bird P-Chan and his friends close to him, even while he fights!

Geese Howard (ギース・ハワード) is the local crime boss of the fictional city of South Town and runs the company Geese Connections. He killed Jeff Bogard in front of his son Terry Bogard's eyes.
Story (in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition)
Ambition for eternal power is what made Geese choose the path of evil. Before he can aim for bigger dreams, Geese first wants to insure his great power, by seeking out several ways to enhance his already incredible strength. Geese is relentless, and will not allow anyone to stand in his way. He seldom dispatches his enemies personally, allowing his underlings to do the dirty work, but when he does, everyone should fear his reaction!

Joe Higashi (ジョー・ヒガシ) is a champion of Muay Thai and a good friend to Andy Bogard. Although Joe's place of origin is Japan, he spent the majority of his time at Thailand, where he trained Muay Thai. It was through his victories that Joe got the nickname "Hurricane Upper" Joe Higashi.
Story (in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition)
Cocky, arrogant, and a complete showoff, Joe always acts in completely good nature. He can goof up sometimes, but he is always a good friend who you can rely on when you're down. Even in the toughest of times, Joe keeps his bright smile and burning sight in his eyes. He loves to live and fight like he does. He currently dates Lilly Kane, which means that he must learn to deal with Lilly's bothersome brother, Billy Kane!

Kaphwan Kim (김갑환) is a master of taekwondo, and also considers himself a fighter of justice. Since Kim was young and during his taekwondo training sessions, he was always reminded to fight for justice, and use the martial art as a way to accomplish this.
Story (in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition)
Kim can get a bit delusional with his quest for justice, but he does not mean any ill towards anyone but bad guys. He really is a good friend, good natured, if not a bit self-centered. His love for others reflects itself in the confidence he has in his sons and his disciples. Besides, a hero who fights for justice just can't go wrong, can he?

Li Xiangfei (李香緋) is a Chinese-American waitress from South Town. She was taught several styles of Kung Fu at a young age and was undefeated in tournaments since she was 10. She also known for her ravenous appetite.

While generally peaceful and nice with other people, when Xiangfei ever gets mad, it would be wise not to stay in her path, as things could get pretty ugly pretty fast. Her nice attitude and strong moves are only matched by her infinite appetite, which never seems to be satisfied. It seems like this girl can never get enough of anything!

Mai Shiranui (不知火) is the granddaughter of Hanzo Shiranui, master of Ninjitsu and Koppo-ken. Mai learned from her father the secrets of Ninjitsu, and became an expert in stealth and other sneaky tricks. She is deeply in love with Andy Bogard, though their relationship is unclear most of the times.
Story (in Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition)
Mai is quite a dangerous fighter. Not only does her exceptional body mesmerize opponents, but her ability to create flaming attacks with her fans and the tail of her outfit will also lead the opponent into sure defeat. Mai's love for Andy knows no limits or time, since Mai hasn't seemed to given up, even after so many years of denials and wasted attempts to seduce Andy. If there is one thing that Mai does have, it's persistence!
