Coin: The basic coin. Restores 1 life and when 50 are collected, you get a 1up.
Star Bits: Star Bits can be collected by aiming the Wii Remote at the bit. You can shhot Star Bits by pressing B. This can be used to stun some enemies or to feed Hungry Lumas.
1up Mushroom: Gives you an extra life. Collect as much as you can.
Life Mushroom: Brings your life up to 6. Very important against bosses.
Note: Life Mushrooms and 1up Mushrooms can be bought at the Luma Shop (blue luma in galaxies)
Purple Coins: Special coins that are collected when Purple Comets are in orbit of a planet. 100 required for a Star.
Bee Mushroom: Transforms you in to Bee Mario.
Boo Mushroom: Transforms you in to Boo Mario.
Rainbow Star: Transforms you in to Rainbow Mario.
Fire Flower: Transforms you in to Fire Mario.
Ice Flower: Transforms you in to Ice Mario.
Spring Mushroom: Transforms you in to Spring Mario
Red Star: Transforms you in to Cosmic Mario (Star Observatory only).
