Episode 1: Mecha Bowser Appears!

  • Objective: Beat Mecha Bowser.

Run forward to the gates of Pinna Park and you'll see Shadow Mario. Once inside the park, follow him to a large fountain (straight ahead and left a bit) and then he will reveal Mecha Bowser - huge mechanical version of Bowser. After the cut-scene, the director of Pinna Park tells Mario to use the roller coaster to defeat the giant monster, and you'll be transported there.

Mecha Bowser

Straight away you'll notice there is a rocket stuck in FLUDD's nozzle. This is a water rocket and there are lots of them on the track waiting to be used by Mario. When you get one, aim at Mecha Bowser and press R to fire it. The aim is to hit him in the head or chest four times to bring him down. Mecha Bowser will shoot bullet bills at you, which go along the roller coaster track and can attack from in front or behind. They can be destroyed by spraying or by water rockets. He also breathes flames on you so spray them to put them out.

When the battle is over, Shadow Mario reveals his true identity. After the long cut-scene, he tells Mario to stay away and flees to Corona Mountain, leaving a Shine in the fountain.

Episode 2: The Beach Cannon's Secret

  • Objective: Complete a hidden obstacle course level

It's time for another obstacle course level, but thankfully this is one of the less difficult ones. But first you need to find your way into it. From the start point, head to the right along the beach and you'll be attacked by a gopher in a cannon that fires huge Bullet Bills at you. Keep running to the source of this attack dodging the explosions as you go (it's not too tricky as long as you keep moving). When you get close to the red cannon, he stops firing Bullet Bills at you and throws little clock work bombs instead. Spray them to deactivate them for a few seconds (they turn blue) and throw the back at the gopher using B button. After 3 hits, you'll defeat him and you can now jump into the cannon to reach the obstacle course.

This course is all about speed and timing - it's made up of huge blocks that appear and disappear. In the first section, make good use of the green and white "Yoshi Egg" style blocks as they don't fade away; you can stop and work out you timing for the next run. For the second and third sections you'll need to use the slide-somersault technique (basically while running, press B button to slide on your belly then press A button to get up with a little somersault) - doing this continually makes you go much faster than just running. After the third stretch of disappearing blocks, you'll reach the Shine.

Episode 3: Red Coins of the Pirate Ships

  • Objective: Get all the Red Coins.

Enter the park. A cutscene will show red coins on and by the pirate ships. The first one is on the platform by the ships. Jump on the first ship, and go to the aft. As it swings up, get the second red coin. Ride on the fore of the second ship for red coin 3. Hover to the green fences and stomp off the Koopas. Go to the left side of the fence and spin jump up to the other set of fences. Jump up to the cage for red coin 4. Enter the cage (go to the side, flip the gate) then ground pound under. There's red coin 5. Drop to the first set of fences and ground pound to the underside. There's a red coin. Go to the top of the cage, then go on the underside of the next fence. There's a red coin in the middle. Knock the Koopas off as you go. When you get to the top, switch to the hover nozzle. Let go of the fence, then hover back on. (it's easier to hover back on to a lower point, but it is possible to hover from the bottom of the platform to the top) You'll find red coin 8. A Shine will appear right by you. Get it.

Episode 4: The Wilted Sunflowers

  • Objective: Revive the wilted sunflowers

At the end of the beach, where you found the red cannon in Episode 2, a group sunflowers have gone all brown and wilted because some sea turtles have burrowed into the ground nearby (those things that look like huge Yoshi Eggs). To revive the flowers you need to remove all these pesky turtles, so this spray an egg until the turtle pops out and chase you and lead him to some sand. When he gets close he'll try to ground-pound you, so make sure he misses and gets his butt stuck in the sand. Now ground-pound him, to show him how it's done then he'll give you some coins and one of the sunflowers will come back to life. Repeat this for all 6 eggs and when you've revived all the sunflowers a Shine will appear nearby.

After beating this level, when you arrive back at Delfino Plaza, Shadow Mario will appear with a Yoshi Egg. Chase him for it, and from now on, a Yoshi Egg will always be on the roof of the building by the bell on the left.

Episode 5: The Runaway Ferris Wheel

  • Objective: Knock the large Electro Koopa in the Ferris wheel off of it.

Enter the park. You may notice the Ferris Wheel is spinning unusually quickly. If you walk behind it, you'll see Electro Koopas on the gates. You'll have to climb up to the top past the Electro Koopas, and knock the large one off. You can shoot the green gates to rotate them.

An easier way to get to the top is to go up by the Deku Tree and climb up the slope through the brick arch to the right of the bridge. At the end, there's a left turn - don't go to where the two Piantas are - go to the side, where you can see a view of Gelato Beach. Switch to the hover nozzle and jump off. Hover to the left, and you'll skip past some of the fences. Once you get to the top, you can knock the Electro Koopa off.

However, there's an even easier method - go up to the brick arch, but don't go through it. Go to the left to the bridge. Go to the platform by the roller coaster, and jump to the green fences. Climb up. When you get to the very top, face the Ferris Wheel. You'll see the Electro Koopa. Use a backflip and hover to the platform to either side. Walk under the Electro Koopa, and hang under the fence it's on. Flip it by jumping. A cutscene will show it falling into the water, and a Shine appearing at the top of the Ferris Wheel.

The Ferris Wheel will also slow down, allowing you to jump onto it and get to the top.

Episode 6: The Yoshi-Go-Round's Secret

  • Objective: Get an orange Yoshi to the Yoshi-Go-Round for an obstacle course.

Go into the park. When you go to the Yoshi-Go-Round, you might realize that there is Yoshi missing! The girl next to it says that it was orange. You need to find the Yoshi egg that's hiding in the park. It's by a big tree with a nose. There is a cliff with a guy and a Yoshi egg. Feed it the fruit it wants. (Important: if it isn't orange then feed it a pineapple instead!) Now that you have a orange Yoshi, run back to the missing Yoshi spot on the Yoshi-Go-Round to enter the obstacle course.

Jump across the spinning blocks. Then, jump the spotted blocks red-green-black-blue. When you get to the blue block, let it loop around for a 1-up. Then, jump black-green-red. Jump onto the orange platform, then the orange block. It'll slide over to a large set of orange blocks. Once it gets to the end, jump off quickly, as it'll disappear. Walk to the left until you get to the end. Switch to side view. Jump on the moving block, then climb the stairs. Again, switch to side view so you can wall-jump up the blocks more easily. Walk to the edge, then jump onto the moving block when it's at the bottom of its path. Use it as an elevator - when it gets to the top, jump off. From there, just jump to the Shine.

Episode 7: Shadow Mario in the Park

  • Objective: Catch Shadow Mario.

Enter the park and you'll see Shadow Mario again. Just chase him and shoot him until he stops for a Shine.

Episode 8: Roller Coaster Balloons

  • Objective: Shoot all the balloons in 3 laps of the roller coaster.

Enter the park and go to the roller coaster. Talk to the green person to ride. Just shoot the balloons for a Shine. It can be tricky, however. Try to get multiple at a time. They have a large hit area, so you can hit two at a time even if they're not lined up by shooting between them.

100 Coins

A relatively easy way to get 100 coins is to go to Episode 2 and spray all the bullet bills with water, mainly the yellow ones, since they give out eight coins at a time.
