The best way to start the game is in the practice mode. Practice some of the tournament maps, and learn how to fight.
Game types[edit]
There are several map types in UT:
- Capture the Flag (CTF): A straight capture the flag match.
- Deathmatch (DM): Deathmatch/Team Deathmatch. First to get a certain number of kills wins.
- Domination (DOM): Domination. Controlling certain areas will award points. Each area gives one point per second second held.
- Assault (AS): Assault. Specific tasks must be done in order to win.
Expert mode[edit]
If you who like hardcore gaming, you can play Last Man Standing Botmatch, then press ~ to bring up the console. Type Addbots 300 to add 300 AI-controlled bots for you to duke it out with. A higher-end processor may be required.
