Welcome to the game. Once Bin and Pin have appeared on the screen, you will have to start making them walk to the right, as ten Sausage Dogs come bouncing towards them; once you have punched each of them to kill them, the eighth one will leave a hot dog behind (which will, if you were unfortunate enough to get hit already, restore four bits of your energy). Once you have collected it, you will have to walk up and collect a Rock for twelve shots of it - and once you have done so, you will have to continue walking to the right and open a treasure chest for 1000 extra points. Once you have done so, you will have to walk down, and to the right, as six more Sausage Dogs come bouncing towards you; once you have thrown a rock at (or just punched) each of these, to kill them, five Screw Mooses shall come bouncing towards you. Once you have thrown a rock at (or just punched) each of these to kill them, you will have to walk around a water fountain and collect a Bomb for six shots of it (if you were the player who collected the Rock earlier, you'll still have one shot left on it, so you will drop it, allowing the other player to steal it) - and once you have done so, you will have to walk between two of three more water fountains, as four more Screw Mooses come bouncing towards you. Once you have thrown a bomb at, or just punched, each of them to kill them, you'll have to walk between two more water fountains as four Skating Foxes come skating towards you; once you've thrown a bomb at, or just punched, each of them to kill them, the second one will leave a piece of cake behind (which will, again, restore four bits of your energy). Once you have collected it you'll come to a small hamburger (which shall, once again, will restore four bits of your energy) - and once you have collected it, you will have to walk between two of three more water fountains as you come to a Mortar Coyote who is launching grenades at you. Once you've punched him to kill him, he will leave another piece of cake behind (which will, yet again, restore four bits of your energy); once you have collected it, two Mouse Sextets will come scurrying towards you. Once you've punched one of the mice in both sextets to kill them (the other five will all die too!), you have to continue walking to the right and collect a Rocket Launcher for sixteen shots of it - and once you've done so, two more Skating Foxes will come skating towards you. Once you've fired a rocket at (or just punched) both of them to kill them you'll have to walk down and to the right as five more Sausage Dogs come bouncing towards you; once you have fired a rocket at (or just punched) both of these to kill them, you shall have to continue walking to the right as you come to another Mortar Coyote who's launching grenades at you and a twenty-second Sausage Dog who's bouncing towards you. Once you fire off a rocket at (or just punch) these enemies to kill them, the Mortar Coyote shall leave a large hamburger behind (which shall restore eight bits of your energy) - and once you've collected it, then opened another treasure chest for 5000 more extra points, you shall have to walk up and to the right as four more Screw Mooses come bouncing towards you. Once you have fired a rocket at (or just punched) each of them to kill them you will come to a third piece of cake (which shall, for a fifth time, restore four bits of your energy); once you have collected it, you will have to walk around four more water fountains as five more Screw Mooses and two more Sausage Dogs come bouncing towards you. Once you have fired a rocket at (or just punched) each of these to kill them, you'll come to two Water Cannons - and once both of you have collected one, the first "boss" theme will start to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 as the stage's mini-boss, Fireball, hovers into view from the right side of the screen (and you will both have to start shooting jets of water at him).

Once Fireball has reached the centre of the screen, he will stop moving and start launching miniaturized versions of himself at Bin and Pin; if they should land on them, they will (as they will with any other weapon after any other hit) drop their Water Cannons, and have to collect them again (but unlike other weapons, they have infinite ammunition). Once both of them have shot him fifteen times between them, he shall explode and they will both automatically drop their Water Cannons (which will also disappear) - and this stage's main theme will start to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 again. You will then have to continue walking to the right as two Springing Rabbits come springing towards you; once you have punched both of these to kill them, they shall leave a cake and another large hamburger behind (which will both, again, restore eight bits of your energy). Once you have collected them you will have to walk up or down to the top or bottom of the road, to determine which path you want to take, then continue walking to the right to confirm your choice - and the path you didn't choose will get blocked off by a construction barrier that can't be jumped over. If you chose the top path (which is recommended for novice players), you will have to continue walking to the right, and collect another Rock for twelve more shots of it; once you have done so, two more Mouse Sextets shall come scurrying towards you. Once you have thrown a rock at (or just punched) one of the mice in both sextets to kill them, you will have to walk up and to the right as a seventh Skating Fox and five more Sausage Dogs come skating and bouncing towards you (you shall also have to watch out for a pit at the bottom of the road at this point); once you've thrown a rock at (or just punched) each of them to kill them, you will have to jump over a crack in the road, while watching out for a sprinkler that's opened in the middle of it and is launching jets of water at you (there are also two more treasure chests around it that can be opened for 10000 more extra points apiece, along with another hot dog and a fourth piece of cake, but you should only open and collect them if you are an expert player). You will now have to walk down and to the right and collect a pair of two more Bombs for twelve shots of them as two more Screw Mooses come bouncing towards you - and once you've thrown a bomb at (or just punched) both of these, to kill them, you shall have to continue walking to the right as seven more Mouse Sextets come scurrying towards you at once. Once you have thrown a bomb at (or super-punched, if you're an expert player) them to kill them, they will leave another small hamburger behind (which, for a sixth time, will restore four bits of your energy); once you've collected it, you'll have to jump over another crack in the road, and open a fifth treasure chest for 10000 more extra points. Once you have done it, you shall have to walk up and to the right between five more water fountains as you come to two more Mortar Coyotes who are launching grenades at you - and once you throw a bomb at (or just punch) both of them to kill them, the third one will leave another cake behind (which will, once again, restore eight bits of your energy), Once you've collected it, you will have to continue walking to the right and collect a Missile Launcher for twenty-four shots of it (if you were the player who collected the pair of Bombs earlier, you'll still have nine shots left on them, so you shall again drop them, allowing the other player to steal them); once you've done so, three more Mouse Sextets will come scurrying towards you. Once you have fired a missile at (or just punched) one of the mice in each sextet to kill them, you come to three Missile Wolves who are launching missiles of their own at you (which can get blocked by your own missiles, or even a super-punch if you're an expert player!) - and once you have fired a missile at (or just punched) each of the Missile Wolves themselves to kill them, you will have to walk up and to the right, as nine more Screw Mooses and five more Sausage Dogs come bouncing towards you. Once you have fired a missile at (or just punched) each of them, to kill them, you will have to continue walking to the right as you come to where that lower path ends (indicated by that staircase coming back up from that second subway platform at the bottom of the screen).

If, however, you chose the lower path (which is only recommended for expert players), you shall have to continue walking to the right (you will also have to watch out for another pit at the bottom of the road) down a staircase, then collect another Bomb for six shots of it, as eight more Screw Mooses come bouncing towards you; once you have thrown a bomb at (or just punched) each of these to kill them, the nineteenth one will leave a fourth piece of cake behind (which will for a sixth time restore four bits of your energy). Once you have collected it, nine more Skating Foxes will come skating towards you - and once you have punched each of these to kill them you will have to walk down to drop down to the ground and open a third treasure chest for 10000 more extra points. Once you've done it, twelve more Screw Mooses will come bouncing towards you; once you have punched each of them to kill them, two more Skating Foxes will come skating towards you. Once you have punched both of them to kill them, you will come to eight Boxing Alligators, who are spitting "RARR"s at you - and once you have punched each of these, to kill them, you will have to collect two more Bombs for twelve shots of them. Once you've done so, you'll come to eight more Boxing Alligators, who are spitting "RARR"s at you; once you have thrown a bomb at (or just punched) each of these to kill them, two more Skating Foxes will come skating towards you. Once you've thrown a bomb at (or just punched) both of these to kill them, you will have to walk up and open a fourth treasure chest for 5000 more extra points as you come to four more Boxing Alligators who are spitting "RARR"s at you - and once you've punched each of these to kill them, the twentieth one will leave a fifth piece of cake behind (which will, for a seventh time, restore four bits of your energy). Once you have collected it, you shall have to collect a Flamethrower, for fifty shots of it (although it automatically decreases by one after every two seconds of non-use) as two more Screw Mooses come bouncing towards you; once you've flamed (or just punched) both of them to kill them, you will come to eight more Boxing Alligators who are spitting "RARR"s at you. Once you have flamed (or just punched) each of them to kill them, you'll come to sixteen more Boxing Alligators, who are spitting "RARR"s at you - and once you have flamed (or just punched) each of these, to kill them, two more Mouse Sextets will come scurrying towards you. Once you have flamed (or just punched) each of them to kill them, you will have to walk up and collect another pair of two more Bombs for twelve shots of them (if you are the player who collected that Flamethrower earlier, you'll still have at least twenty-two shots left on it depending on how long you went without using it, so you will again drop it allowing the other player to steal it); once you've done so, you will have to open a fifth treasure chest for 10 more extra points, as eight more Skating Foxes come skating towards you. Once you have thrown a bomb at (or just punched) each of these, to kill them, you will have to walk down and to the right to collect another small hamburger (which will for an eighth time restore four bits of your energy) - and once you have done so, eight more Screw Mooses will come bouncing towards you. Once you have thrown a bomb at (or just punched) each of these to kill them, a third Springing Rabbit and four more Mouse Sextets will come springing and scurrying towards you; once you've punched each of them to kill them, the Springing Rabbit shall leave another large hamburger behind (which will, again, restore eight bits of your energy). Once you have collected it, you will come to eight more Boxing Alligators who are spitting "RARR"s at you - and once you've punched each of them to kill them, the forty-sixth one will leave another hot dog behind (which will for a ninth time restore four bits of your energy). Once you've collected it, you'll have to open a sixth treasure chest, for 5000 more extra points; once you have done this, you will have to jump back up onto another subway platform and continue walking to the right up another staircase as four more Sausage Dogs come bouncing towards you. Once you've punched each of these to kill them, you'll come to where the upper path ends (at the top of the staircase).

Regardless of which path you chose, you shall now have to collect a Machine Gun for fifty shots of it and walk around three more water fountains as you come to a fifth Mortar Coyote and five (more, if you'd chosen the lower path) Boxing Alligators who are launching grenades and spitting "RARR"s at you; once you have fired a bullet at (or just punched) each of them to kill them, the game's first "boss" theme will start to be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 again as this stage's boss, Circling Rock, hovers into view from the right side of the screen. Once Circling Rock notices Bin and Pin, the twelve boulders that surround him shall extend themselves, and circle around him (in an anticlockwise direction if he is hovering to the left, but in a clockwise one if he is hovering back to the right) three times (if they hit Bin and Pin while either of them is holding the Machine Gun they shall, as with any other weapon after any other hit, drop it, and have to collect it again) - and once you have fired eight bullets at the first three boulders and six bullets at the fourth one, then punched the fourth one twice more and each of the eight remaining ones eight times to destroy them, he shall explode and a door will materialize in the centre of the screen. Bin and Pin shall then walk through the door and get warped to Stage 2 (which takes place in the game's home country of Japan).
