Speed

Default engine	Level 1 engine
These are the default rockets that you start the game with. They move the slowest.	Pick up this engine from the shop for 2000 points for a small boost in speed.
Level 2 engine	Level 3 engine
Double the price of the Level 1 engine for a significant increase in speed.	You'll have to decide if 8000 points is worth parting with for the fastest speed available, or if Level 2 engines are enough.

Weapon

Single Sword (どうのつるぎ)	Double Swords (いくのたち)
Power: low. The default weapon that you begin the game with, this weapon fires a single bullet in the direction of your gun.	Power: low. Earn this weapon by beating the boss in the first stage. It allows you to fire two bullets in opposite directions.
Double Blades (あまのたち)	3-Way Sword (やさかのたち)
Power: medium. This new weapon fires two stronger bullets in opposite directions.	Power: low. This weapon fires three bullets in a spread pattern. It also has a shield that can absorb bullets. You earn it from defeating a boss, but you can also pay 50000 points to grab one early.
Spirit Sword (さじふつのつるぎ)	3-Way Blade (くぶつちのつるぎ)
Power: high. This weapon deploys a short range blade that can do substantial damage to anything it touches.	Power: medium. This is just like the 3-Way Sword but with stronger bullets. Also contains a bullet absorbing shield.
4-Way Stars (かむどのつるぎ)	5-Way Stars (くさなぎのつるぎ)
Power: high. A powerful weapon which shoots the strongest bullets available, three forward and one back. Has a shield, but only facing forward.	Power: high. Another powerful weapon, this one shoots five powerful bullets that fan out, and it comes equipped with a shield.

Armor

Initial Armor (みえずのよろい)	Silver Armor (さかきのよろい)	Red Armor (やたのよろい)
The default armor in the game, you take full damage.	Once you obtain this armor by defeating a boss, equip it to halve the damage you take.	Equip this armor after you obtain it, and you will only receive a quarter of the damage.

Other

Auto-fire	Health Potion
Purchase this item for a mere 500 points to enable auto-firing and make your job easier.	Each potion consumed will restore a single unit of health in your health meter. You can store up to a meter's worth of potions.
Invisibilitiy	Magatama
Enable this item to activate invisibility, which temporarily eliminates your exposure to damage.	The comma-shaped magatama beads fly around in a circle and automatically seek out enemies that threaten you until they are all used up.
