Hanii in the Sky Stage 6a.jpg

You get a brand new weapon for defeating the boss of Stage 5: The Spirit Sword. Upon deploying this weapon, four segments extend from the hilt, which you can point in eight different directions. Although it has a very short range, this is a very powerful weapon. To use it effectively, you must keep the sword hovered over strong enemies, and it will continuously deal damage to them as long as it's touching. Try the sword out to see what it's truly capable of.

  1. The first set of enemies are orbs with four points that travel along the edges of the screen. The move along the sides, stopping to shoot at you when they line up with your position. Point the sword forward and deal with the enemies that travel vertically along the side of the screen, as well as the one which travels along the top, and ignore the one at the bottom.
  2. For the next wave, sets of three enemies travel downward from the top of the screen until they are about even with you, and begin to curve upward in your direction while shooting a slow bullet at you. If you can stay below them and aim your sword at them, you'll get rid of them fairly quickly, but if they change sides of the screen, you'll need to react quickly to get them back under control.
  3. Enemies will fly down below the surface of the stage, and reappear at your height flying upward. Point your sword or any weapon down and stay near the top of the screen to remove them as they approach you.
  4. Hanii in the Sky Stage 6b.jpg
You'll see small ships parked on the surface of the stage below you. As you get closer to them, they will launch up from the surface and then fly straight down at you. While they are rising from the ground, you have a small window to eliminate them before they can take off.
  5. Groups of six insects will appear from the top of the screen and swarm down toward you. They are easy enough to maneuver under and remove with the sword.
  6. The set of three enemies that you encountered in the 2nd wave will resume their attack.
  7. Small enemies will begin to appear from the windows of the structures that make up the stage background. They will fly in diagonal directions, and they will ricochet off the sides of the screen. Their movements are pretty easy to predict. Stay beneath them unless they get too close to the bottom of the screen.
  8. The stage will end with the first two waves repeated before presenting another set of the enemies which appear from the windows. Once you get through that, the boss will appear.

Boss: つくよみ (Tsuyomi?)[edit]

Hanii in the Sky boss 6.jpg

Tsuyomi resembles a large doll whose attack ability appears on the screen before it does. It attacks by sending two beams from its eyes, but these beams don't travel straight. They move forward and adjust their direction to always come after you, until they reach their maximum length and retract. Tsuyomi itself moves incredibly slowly. Because you're going to need to move all around it, it's a good idea to lure it closer to the middle of the screen before beginning your assault.

Since Tsuyomi moves very slowly, your main concern is avoiding the beams. This can be easily accomplished as long as you never stop moving. Start moving in a clockwise circle around Tsuyomi and constantly adjust the aim of your weapon as you do so that you're always hitting him. When the beams start to retract, and you can take a small break and pummel Tsuyomi with your attack, but start moving as soon as the beams return. Using the sword weapon, you can simply spin around him and keep the sword in contact with it at all times, and you'll eliminate it fairly quickly.
