Celesty (セレスティ)[edit]

Noteable Villager Gossip:

  • An old man in town believes that he is a descendant of the lost civilization Logonetta (ログネッタ), though his family thinks he is crazy.
  • To the far north is the port town of Deja, but the Hyberion Mountains (ハイベリオン山) are in-between here and there.
  • Amber Rose Castle has been taken over by the Imperial Army.
  • The Dark Knight inside of the castle is known as Phantom. It is a name of an acquaintance of Jay's who he believes is dead.

Make preparations, exit the village and head northeast to Amber Rose Castle.

Amber Rose Castle (アンバーローズ城)[edit]

Ignore the front doors for now and follow the left path to a chest: Iron Mail (アイアンメイル). Backtrack and go up the right side for another chest. Now return to the double doors and enter. Head all the way to the right and go up into the room there for the third chest: Heal Tonic. Keep heading up and then left, passing by the stairs, and heading up once more. At this fork, go right for another chest: Megatonic and then left for a save point. Head all the way left for one more chest: Health Berry. Now go up the stairs that are directly south from that room.

Grab the chest before you (トールブレス) and then head down, right and back up for another: (アサートの守り). Now go back down and ascend the stairs to the next floor. Follow the linear path until you hit a fork. Go left for a chest: Assault Sword (アサルトソード) and then south to the next set of stairs. Enter the doors and head into the left room for a chest: Sefira Drop (セフィラの雫). Now enter the next set of doors. A cutscene will play, showing Leila's grandfather rescuing Emma and Carl from a new villain.

Boss Battle: Phantom (ファントム)

Phantom will speak Jay's name and collapse. He then drops them into an underground area as an earthquake suddenly rocks the castle.

Amber Rose Castle Underground Labyrinth (アンバーローズ城地下迷宮)[edit]

Another FMV introducing the fourth party member. Why, it is none other than the ninja we saw back at Calburn Castle, Hanzou. Cindy and Leila are disappointed that someone with such a cool reputation would turn out to be a pervert, but he swears that it was just an accident. He goes on to explain that this tunnel was built long ago to connect the castle to the port town of Deja, however, the path is currently blocked due to a cave in. Nonetheless, Hanzou's men are currently busy digging a way out.

Head down to the save point below and then to Fork A. Head down and take a right at the first opportunity for a chest. Return to Fork A, head left and take the first path up for another chest. From here, head south and then take a left for some stairs to the next floor.

At Fork B, head left. Same for Fork C. At Fork D, head up. At Fork E, head down. Continue left at Fork F. Take another left at Fork G. At Fork H, head down for a chest. Back at Fork H, head up this time for the next set of stairs. As soon as you exit you'll be at Fork I. Go left for another chest: Gigatonic (ギガトニック). Return to the fork and head down. At Fork J go left, and then down at Fork K for another chest: Anti-Poison Grass. Now head left from Fork K and down at Fork L, left at Fork M and up at Fork N. Go left at Fork O for a savepoint and then finally north for the next staircase.

At Fork P, head right for a chest: IronMail. Backtrack to the Fork and keep going all the way to the left. You'll see a another chest at Fork R: Megatonic. Go down and then make a left at Fork S. Finally, go up at Fork T for the next set of stairs.

A chest awaits you as soon as you arrive on this floor: Tranquil Liquor (トランキルの酒). Go left at Fork U for another chest: Megatonic. You'll get a brief voiced scene when going down from Fork U. Go left for a chest at Fork V: Silver Knife (ツルバーナイフ). Head down and then left at Fork W, where you will have another voiced scene followed by a boss battle.

Boss Battle: Great Deathwhip (グレートデスウィップ)

An FMV follows the boss's defeat and Jay is poisoned by the monster's tentacle. Cindy blames herself; a sentiment that Hanzou discourages. Nevertheless, he says that Jay's vital functions will cease very soon if they don't get out of there. Luckily, Hanzou's man Kim breaks through the dead end wall. Kim says the Deathwhip's poison is a special type of neurotoxin and a regular antidote will not work. They decide to search for a doctor in the nearby town of Deja.
