NM Missile Toss Intro.png

Before this event, you shall be treated to a short cutscene featuring Bongo, which explains that you will have to alternate between pressing the first and third buttons to run, then press and hold the second button once you reach the red line (if you go over it, it will invalidate your attempt), to determine the angle of the missile, then let go of it to throw it; this event can be incredibly difficult if you do not know exactly when to stop and which angle to throw at.

Needed/Record: 310.0
Try: 2 times

The equivalent of the Javelin Throw, from Konami's Hyper Olympic trilogy, this event will start with your Numan at a starting line in Kenya (Bongo's home country); once the text "START!" appears on the screen, you will have to alternate pressing the first and three buttons to make your Numan start running to the right (his, or her in the case of Sharon, running speed is displayed in kilometres upon the right side of the screen). Once you have reached the red line, you'll have to press the second button to determine the angle of the missile, then let go of it to throw it - and the camera will then cut to an overhead view of the missile flying through the air as the game calculates its flying distance. Once it has landed, it shall explode, and scare away any wildlife in the vicinity; if the missile's flying distance was over 310 metres, your Numan will once again show off for the crowd as the Knuckle Heads-like compere's two "bunny girls" come up from the bottom of the screen and applaud him (or her in Sharon's case). Once again, you shall not only qualify for the next event, but that text "CONGRATULATIONS! IT'S A NEW RECORD! ENGRAVE YOUR NAME ON HISTORY!" will also appear on the screen - and you will then have thirty seconds to enter your initials (by using the first and third buttons to select the letters, then pressing the second one to confirm your choice). If there is only one player, the game will proceed to the next event, Numan Sniper in Antarctica, but if there are two, three or four players, it will proceed to a second, third or fourth Missile Toss event before doing so; you will have to stop right on the red line, then press the second button so that your Numan adjusts the angle of the missile four times before letting go of it. It shall travel a distance of 325 metres - fifteen more than that needed for the next event.
