Equestrian is one of the more difficult events. To complete it, you guide your horse along a track while jumping over obstacles. Scoring is based on the number of faults for a given run; a lower number means a better performance.

When the race starts, press up to move faster. Press right to jump over obstacles, and left to prevent your horse from falling after a jump.

While the horse will automatically jump over most obstacles, there are three which need guidance. They would be the third (an angled fence), the fifth (angled fence and vertical), and the seventh (vertical white wall.) To ensure your horse jumps, press right at the right time to jump; the flag should between the horse's head and the jockey.

You will receive 20 faults if the horse refuses to jump, and six faults if the horse falls after a jump. In addition, you will receive one additional fault for each second past the optimum time of 50 seconds. You will be disqualified if you take more than 100 seconds, or exceed 100 faults.
