Revision as of 18:29, 14 May 2014
Final Fantasy X-2 is a direct sequel to the popular Final Fantasy X, and takes place two years after the events of the previous game. Despite offering FFX fans more of the same, FFX-2 was less successful. It is the first Final Fantasy game to be a direct sequel, however Final Fantasy VII has also had several sequels since. The game features Yuna and Rikku from the previous game, and Paine, a new character. It takes place shortly after FFX, when most of the characters have gone their separate ways. The game uses a modified version of the job system from Final Fantasy III with a skill growth system similar to Final Fantasy VIII's.
Although the game was not very successful when first released for Playstation 2, in 2014 Square Enix re-released a remastered version for Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. It is available as a bundle package with Final Fantasy X.
