Abra, the very powerful Psychic Pokémon. Abras seem to be a pain to Rookie trainers and impatient trainers. In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, you can find Abra in the Granite Cave on the island of Dewford. Abra has a five percent chance of holding a TwistedSpoon, which in some cases is advised for the trainer to catch several Abras. Abra is very hard to catch, as being a Psychic it has the attack of Teleport that lets it run from battle. Most of the time you'll need to throw a Poké Ball and hope you catch it. Abra's only learned attack will be at level 16 when it evolves into Kadabra, with the new attack being Confusion. Once Abra evolves into Kadabra, you can immediately evolve it into an Alakazam by trading it with a friend.
The Pokémon with extremely strong defense. A great Pokémon to make learn cut, Nincada's attacks make it a late in the game Pokémon as it learns weak Normal, Ground and Bug type attacks. At the level of 25, Nincada picks up the attack False Swipe. This attack lets you attack a Pokémon and no matter how many attacks of False Swipe you use, the Pokémon will remain with 1Hp. Then Nincada learns the Attack Metal Claw (Level 38) and Dig (level 45). Nincada evolves into a fast bug-flying Pokémon named Ninjask at the level of 20 and if you have a open slot plus an extra Poké Ball, you will get the little surprise of Shedinja the Bug-Ghost Pokémon which learns attacks such as Shadow Ball and Grudge. The problem you are faced with is if you evolve your Nincada at Level 20, you will lose out on the attacks Dig, Metal Claw and False Swipe which are replaced with Slash, Baton Pass and Swords Dance.
#293 Whismur #300 Skitty
Whismur the Whisper Pokémon. Again, another Normal type Pokémon with not great attacks. The best selection of attacks that Whismur can learn are the attacks Stomp (Level 25) and Hyper Voice (Level 45). Whismur gets put to good use later when you evolve it at Level 20. It evolves into a Loudred and at Level 40 into a Exploud, which are not too great other than Exploud's new attack, Hyper Beam (Level 71). The ability of Whismur is one called Soundproof, which prevents all sound-based moves from hurting your Whismur due to its deafness. Some attacks that are stopped are GrassWhistle, Growl and Perish Song. Another downfall is that when two Whismurs, Loudreds or Explouds battle, a number of their attacks are canceled due to Soundproof, like Uproar and Hyper Voice.
Skitty the Kitten Pokémon has the amazing ability of Cute Charm. The only place where this Pokémon can be found is on Route 116. Skitty starts with attacks that are okay. Once some time has been put into training Skitty, it will learn attacks like DoubleSlap (Level 15). Skitty will learn the powerful attack for double battles called Assist (Level 19), the strong Dark attack Faint Attack (Level 27), and the extremely powerful normal attack Double-edge (Level 39). Skitty is a mid-to-late Pokémon, but can only be found at low levels which comes as a downfall. Skitty evolves into Delcatty while using a Moonstone, but another downfall is once evolved, Delcatty will not learn any new attacks. It would be better to use the Pokémon Zigzagoon, which is much stronger and a good, well-rounded Pokémon compared to Skitty.

Trainers

There are two trainers in the first part of the path. Take the low road to grab the Repel. The top route has less grass and a youngster while the bottom path has a Bug Catcher.

On the western end of this tree path is a grove full of Berries (Chesto and Pinap), as well as an Ether. There's also a Super Potion hidden near the ledge. East of the house, you'll find Mr Briney at the entrance to a cave. He's lost Peeko, his Wingull, and needs help. Enter the cave to find Peeko.

Items

  • 4x Chesto Berry
  • 6x Pinap Berry
  • Ether (restores 10 PP of a specific move)
