Avoid the enemy[edit]
When the game starts, Lucia's strength is incredibly weak. It takes eight strikes to defeat a simple Dopipu. You should not attempt to engage any enemies in this state. Jump over and disregard every enemy until you collect the Sword from door B. After collecting it, Lucia's strength will multiply ten times, and she will be able to defeat a Dopipu with one blow.
Once you defeat one enemy, another enemy will appear shortly afterward. For this reason, you should never remain in one place while fighting enemies. You should continue to advance forward, stopping only long enough to strike each enemy as you encounter them. The Nomaji are particularly difficult to avoid, and cannot be struck down in one hit. Approach them carefully.
Recommended route[edit]
There is no special path through this stage, it's a straight shot all the way to the right. Be sure to collect the Boots from door A and the Sword from door B before attacking the boss in door C. As you travel to each door, it is possible that a Nomaji will become trapped in the doorway. You can clear them out of the way if you scroll them off the edge of the screen and return. This is a technique that you can take advantage of throughout the game.
Boss: Hop Egg[edit]
HP: 310 Power: 250 |
The first boss is Hop Egg, the jumping egg. It repeats the pattern of jumping around twice, and then holding still, looking left and right. If you are prepared to fight it, you can approach it and strike it with your sword before it even gets to jump around once. Provided you collected the sword, you can defeat the Hop Egg in four strikes. Once it is defeated, you can enter the room which contains the Stage Ball in the inner part of the boss chamber. Collecting it will restore 500 lost HP. Without this Ball, the stage goal door will not open, so don't forget to grab it after defeating the boss.
