You will first have to connect your Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, or Commodore Amiga (and cassette recorder, in the case of the 8-bit versions) to your television then switch all three (or both, in the case of the Amiga version) of them on; you will then have to place the cassette (or disk, in the case for the Amiga version) of Impulze's 1991 platform game, Round the Bend, into the cassette recorder (or into the console itself, for the case for the Amiga version), type LOAD "" without leaving a space between the two quotation marks, and press Enter to load the program into the console (or wait for it to load automatically, for the case of the Amiga version). For the ZX version, you can now press 1 for keyboard control, 2 for Sinclair joystick control (if connected), 3 for Cursor joystick control (again, if connected), 4 to redefine the keys, or 5 to start the game - but, for the C64 and Amiga versions, you will just have to press the button on the joystick to start the game immediately. This game starts out with the show's four main characters (Doc Croc, Luschetti Bruschetti, Vincent Vermin and Jemima Wellington-Green) pacing around their office as the timer (4:00 in the ZX version, 253 seconds or 4:13 in the C64 version, and 400 seconds or 7:20 in the Amiga version) starts counting down; press O and P (or push the joystick left and right) to select one of the four drains, Space (or the joystick's button) to select one of the characters, and Q (or push the joystick up) to enter the currently-selected drain. The staff will have to watch out for bats, cans, sharks, drums of toxic waste, and Ninja Teddies (which, as mentioned on the Gameplay page, are a parody of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) while in the drains - as if they are hit, they shall be sent back to the office, costing them valuable time. If Doc, Vincent or Jemima finds a page of the comic, press Q (or push the joystick up) to draw them into it for a minigame; however, each of them can only get drawn into the pages they write (and all that is known for sure is that Doc wrote the "Nursery Spot" because the game is virtually impossible). If they manage to reach the page punchline, John Potato will report it on his Newsround strand and the time will then be set for when the next page of the comic must be completed - and only Luschetti can collect press pieces (but if he is hit while carrying one, he will drop it on being sent back to the office).
