Scan: Gunship
Scan: Gunship

There are five exits to this "room", but only one you can access with your stripped down power suit.  It's directly to your right.  Proceed to the Canyon Cavern.

This is the location of the Gunship throughout the rest of the game. You can return here to replenish your energy, all ammunition, and save the game. The Landing Site has multiple doors that you can take, however you do not have the necessary equipment to progress through most of them so take the door to the right of the Gunship.

Scan: Beetie
Scan: Beetle

Beeties begin burrowing up at you from the sand pit in this room. You can fight them, or you can ignore them and proceed left to Tallon Canyon
Shortly after you approach the sand in this room you'll be attacked by a pair of creatures called Beetles. You can find these often throughout several parts of Tallon IV, so don't worry if you neglect to scan them.

Scan: Blast Cap,Zoomer,Geemer, Sap Sac

There are three exits to this room, but only one that you can reach.  However, there are many new creatures to scan. Fight or avoid the Beeties and proceed to the to Transport Chozo Ruins West via Transport Tunnel A.
Scans: Sap Sac, Blastcap, Zoomer, Geemer

Transport Chozo Ruins West
There are multiple Log Book entries you can get in this room. The first is the Sap Sac, an explosive plant. After further progression into the room, you'll find Blastcaps located in the water. If you touch these, they will explode so exercise caution. On the rock face on the left side you can find Zoomers and the right you can find a single Geemer.
Scan the terminal and proceed to the Main Plaza of the Chozo Ruins.

Path: Transport to Talon Overworld North, Chozo Ruins Entrance, Main Plaza
There are multiple doorways in this room however like the Landing Site you cannot progress without more equipment. Take the door to Transport Tunnel A then to the Transport to Chozo Ruins West.

Scan: Blast Shield (to your left)

First, a veritable plague of Beeties. Then proceed to the Nursery Access, which is in the upper-left of the room without taking the stairs.

Above the door to the Main Plaza, you can find your first bit of Chozo Lore.

Continue past the swarm of Beetles, climb the stairs, and take the door on the left to the Nursery Access.

Nursery Access
Scan: Scarab

Best to kill the scarabs. You're too weak at this point to merely walk through them.  Proceed to Eyon Tunnel.
A large amount of creatures called Scarabs drop themselves in your path, with touching a single one will only inflict minor damage, walking through the entire swarm will be dangerous for you current levels of energy. Just fire at them to clear yourself a path.

Eyon Tunnel
Eyon Tunnel
Scan: Eyon
Scan: Eyon

Proceed to the Ruined Nursery.
The Eyons are immune to the Power Beam so you will be unable to destroy them. The flash of the weapon will cause them to shut, ceasing the energy beams along with it.

Scan: Chozo Lore: Exodus, War Wasp Hive, War Wasp

Proceed to Totem Access
Scans: Chozo Lore - Exodus (NTSC)/ Harmonization (PAL/Trilogy), War Wasp, War Wasp Hive
Path: North Atrium, Ruined Gallery, Totem Access.

Totem Access
After recording the Chozo Lore, you can find two more Log Book entries: War Wasp Hive on the ceiling, and War Wasps which will attack when you approach their hive.
Scan: Plazmite, Tangle Weed

Proceed to the Hive Totem.
If you need energy or wish to save, the highest door in the room leads to a Save Station, otherwise continue to the North Atrium.

Hive Totem
Ruined Gallery
Stay on the upper section of the room and continue on.

Here you should see a raised island in the middle of the room, with a bridge toward the only other exit. Step on to the island, avoiding the polluted water.  There across the bridge is your Missile Launcher.  But first, a Boss Battle in the form of some very protective War Wasps.
Totem Access
Scans: Plazmite, Large Energy, Tangle Weed

Boss Battle: Ram War Wasps
The water in this room is toxic, so be careful not to fall into it.
Scan: Ram War Wasp, Hive Mecha (scan on the lower portion of the Mecha)

Hive Totem
Scans: Hive Mecha, Ram War Wasp, Missile Lock Door

As you approach the Missile Launcher, a large machine will lower down on top of it. It will then release some Ram War Wasps—these are the biggest threat. The arena will also flood with acid, so don't fall off.
Go to the central platform in the room and approach the Missile Launcher. Before you can reach it the room will fill with toxic water and the Hive Mecha will protect the launcher.

The Ram War Wasps will try to disorientate you by flying around you in a circle. When they are circling, fire rapidly in this flight path and some shots will hit them. They will also stop for a few seconds before attempting to dive at you. You must shoot the Wasps before they dive. A well-timed jump will result in the Wasps flying under you when they dive.  It's helpful to keep an eye on the radar screen.
Boss battle: Hive Mecha
When all the Wasps are defeated, the Hive Mecha will open a hatch attempting to release more. You must lock onto it and destroy it before it has chance to do so.
The Hive Mecha's only form of defense is Ram War Wasps. This variety of wasp circles around you then attempts to ram you into the toxic water, so exercise caution. Be sure to scan both the Hive Mecha and the Ram War Wasps, you will be unable to encounter either again.

You will have to repeat this process two more times (Three in total) to defeat it. Each time it will release more Wasps than the time before.
You'll be able to destroy the Hive Mecha by firing at the access ports that the War Wasps are released from. These are only vulnerable after you destroy all wasps that have already been released. After one is destroyed, the next port will release a larger amount of wasps until all three ports are destroyed. Once defeated, the water level will lower and you can claim your Missile Launcher.

After the battle collect the Missile Launcher and use it on the Shielded door ahead.

Proceed to Transport Access North.

Pick up your first Energy Tank here.

You can find your first Energy Tank here. It'll increase your energy capacity by 100 units and completely heal you in the process.
