MILES is a safe non-lethal combat training system designed to introduce soldiers to warfare by simulation. A soldier carries MILES eye-safe lasers mounted on M16 or M249 and MILES Grenades. Within MILES battles, only smoke grenades are live.
A hit is signified by a beep and death is announced by continuous beeping and the soldier must sit down and remove his helmet.
