2K Games is a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, created on January 25, 2005, after Take-Two acquired Visual Concepts and Kush Games from Sega. The company's name comes from Visual Concepts' "2K" sports lineup, which is now published by 2K Sports; an operating name of 2K Games.
